cotian Posted May 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2009 We are planning on flying in to Miami a day before our cruise . Does anyone have any suggestions for a hotel that has transportation to the port. We are sailing on the Lberty of the seas September 12, 2009 Thank you, Cotian:)
Caribbean Sunsets Posted May 28, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2009 There are lots of recommendations on the Florida Departures board. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=495 Good Luck!:)
cb at sea Posted May 28, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2009 Cabs are plentiful, inexpensive and are the easiest form of transportation in Miami. From the airport to the port will be $24. From the airport to a hotel near the port is the same. From the hotel near the port to the actual port will run about $8-10.
cotian Posted May 28, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted May 28, 2009 Thank you all for the information. This site is so terrific. I so enjoyed our group on the IOS Atlantic cossing in April. What a super group. We are booked on the Liberty of the Seas on September 12. I hope we can get a group together for the cruise. Thanks :)

trixietx Posted May 28, 2009 #6 Share Posted May 28, 2009 We stayed at the downtown Hyatt in May before boarding Liberty. It's a very nice hotel and close to the port. Enjoy your cruise!
newcruiser30 Posted May 28, 2009 #7 Share Posted May 28, 2009 I would highly recommed the Hyatt Regency of Coral Gables. We got a 4 star room there for $88.00 on Priceline! They treat you like Kings/Queens when you enter the place, it is wonderful! A great way to start a cruise vacation. The only down-side is that it's farther away, so you have to take a taxi to the cruise port, about $20, I think. We stayed at this hotel when we arrived in Miami 1 night before the cruise, and 1 night afterward. Good Luck!
goneclear Posted May 28, 2009 #8 Share Posted May 28, 2009 Miami airport Marriott has a package that gives breakfast and transport to cruise docks. They also have a free airport shuttle that runs every half hour between the airport and the hotels. There is also a courtyard marriott and another marriott brand hotel on the same site. The Marriott has just finished a renevation. I stay there before and after cruises and anytime I visit Miami.
