Need recommendation for Victoria

My daughter loves scones and pastries and would like to sample some local fare while we're in Victoria. Can anyone recommend a good bakery/pastry shop in the downtown area? We probably won't be able to do tea, but would like to try some teatime snacks. Perhaps a local place, and not too pricey - those are usually the best ones, after all. :) We'll be taking the Victoria clipper in for the day, and would like something close to where the ship comes in. Thanks so much!

Murchie's on Government St would be an excellent choice.

James Bay Tea Room is also excellent for scones. I used to go there for coffee break every day when I worked in the area. The Tea Room is about a block behind the Parliament Buildings on the corner of Superior and Menzies, which is not far from where the Clipper docks.
