SailBad - Just checked and they have not started rebuilding it yet. Although, they still do plan on re-building ... Doesn't sound as if they will be open this summer. If I hear anything different - I'll let you know. When are you planning on being in this area? Take care, Jan

Thanks for the reply. We will be visiting in 2 weeks from this Sunday for 1 week :D. It looks like no lunch at TT until 2010 :(.

I hope you have a wonderful time in Maine ... June is a lovely time to visit!

 

A few places we like traveling around to when we are roaming the coast (you have probably been to them), but thought I would mention them.....

 

1. The Scoodic Point/Peninsula portion of Acadia ... even more wild and quiet than Mt Desert.

 

2. The Cat is now running ... its a great day back and forth.

 

3. Castine - we were there once sitting on a rock (by the lighthouse) when a masted sailing ship went by .... breathtaking! We enjoy walking around town and reading all the signs (and having lunch/dinner at Dennetts Wharf.

 

Enjoy your visit. Feel free to wave when you go by Bangor ... and think of all the rest of us that will be working!!! Jan
