Any blogs or posts from Voyager?

Recommended Posts

I know Alaska is the hot cruise destination this time of year for North America, but are there any blogs out there from someone on Voyager way over there in the Baltic?

Interested to know how life is on Voyager these days? Food.... service... people... ports.... excursions?

Thanks!!!

We haven't heard much from the Voyager lately. In 2 1/2 months I'll be posting from the Voyager on our 11 night cruise. This is our third cruise on the Voyager (our favorite ship) and the 1st since she was in drydock. We are very anxious to dine in Prime 7 and view all the changes on the ship.

A large group of us just got off on May 31st (cruise was nicknamed VIKING but when 1st 1/2 from FLL was cancelled it was changed to ING- Iceland to Southampton) so you can read about it on a different board. The day we got off, the ship was chartered for a week by Mary Kay.

The Voyager never looked better! Just perfect condition.

We ate several times in Prime 7. It is a beautiful restaurant and no problem with service. The food was a bit hit and miss though. One evening there were 4 of us who ordered Prime Rib and all 4 of us received P.R. that was way over cooked. (the night before someone had ordered it and it was fantastic). The crab legs were always a huge hit, one order worked perfectly as an appetizer for a table of 4. The food in C.R. is great, never had a disappointment there.

The CD is Ray Solaire. If he puts on a show, don't miss it ! He has the most beautiful voice and does amazing acts with puppets...probably the best show I've ever seen on any cruise. Luis is the Restaurant Manager and does a fabulous job.

We had a fabulous cruise....great group of people we were traveling with and great itinerary. Hopefully your upcoming cruise will be just as great!

Have to agree wholeheartedly with Petlover. We were also on her cruise that began in Rekyjavik and ended in Southampton, May 31. It was a great cruise and the ship was in excellent condition. :)
