RCCI Diamond member benefits on Celebrity Cruise?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm a Diamond member wanting to go on a Celebrity cruise, what will my benefits be?

Will I get a discount on a balcony? Is there a Concierge Club to go in? Has anyone done this lately and knows what a Diamond members benefits are for going on this cruise line. I would like to go to Brumuda because they have a 7 day and RCCI does not. Please help.

My TA just did this research for us as we were considering a Celebrity sailing. There are not any monetary discounts and very little in the way of other ameneties that made it worthwhile for us. We ended up choosing the RCI cruise mostly for discount and itinerary.

As a Diamond Member, I recently took my first Celebrity cruise. There are no booking discounts and there is no concierge lounge.

The perks are almost non-existent.

They did have a Senior Officers party where the Captain and officers mingled with the Elite Members. Unfortunately, it was at 11:00 am on a sea day and they required casual attire (no shorts, etc). I wasn't going to shower and change just for this so I missed it.

They also had a wine tasting seminar.

Additional perks included priority embarkation, priority tender tickets, casino discounts, spa discounts, and a laundry discount.

Maybe it's because I'm not a huge perks person, but I found the cruise to be so nice, and the service so good that the absence of perks didn't really effect me.

The loyalty program is a joke...so if you cruise for that Celebrity is not the best choice.

But a Celebrity cruise is great. It is a bit more laid back than Royal Caribbean and very peaceful. If you like all of the activities and night life you might not like Celebrity as much as Royal Caribbean.

We want to go to Bermuda and Celebrity has a 7 days and RCCI has only a 5 day, we do like to stay up late and do things on the ship, I'm not a good at sea day person, I need something to do, maybe Carnival? Have never done one, is it worth it to try?

As with most itineraries, it is very difficult to say which entire cruise line is best for you. If you can narrow it down to specific ships from each line, better comparisons can be given. You've done a lot of RCI cruises, so I would recommend branching out and trying Celebrity, or even Carnival. It just depends on the ship and itinerary....and time of year.
