estebofarr Posted December 19, 2004 #7 Share Posted December 19, 2004 Cinnamon Will you write when you get home and let us know the dos and don't of this wonderful cruise?
cinnamon Posted December 22, 2004 #8 Share Posted December 22, 2004 Yes, I will write a review, but we don't get back to England until 29th January and then jet-lag and work mean that it will probably be about 5th February before I have time. estebofarr Posted December 23, 2004 #9 Share Posted December 23, 2004 Well, we are all leaving the States by the 26th so I will have to read it when I get back. any chance of your posting while onboard?
cinnamon Posted December 24, 2004 #10 Share Posted December 24, 2004 I am afraid that the cost of using the PC on board is too much to be able to write much. The Spangles group together may be able to write a bit. Check our message board on the roll calls. Cinnamon
estebofarr Posted December 25, 2004 #11 Share Posted December 25, 2004 Ok, thanks. Have a great trip. How many hours from your home to the ship? Heidi, Did you have a nice Christmas with the kids? Janis
strawberryblonde Posted December 26, 2004 #12 Share Posted December 26, 2004 Janis - really good. Nothing like a holiday with young ones. We swam in the afternoon and played on the beach, the warmest Christmas day I've ever had. I'm so eager for someone to write up a review or live reports from the next cruise or two. I've got to start packing for this trip, I'd like to hear more about the weather.
cinnamon Posted December 26, 2004 #13 Share Posted December 26, 2004 Janis, it is 27 hours travelling, not counting check-in of 3 more. I have bought some flight socks to prevent DVT!!!!! However, we leave tomorrow and have 8 days in New Zealand before the cruise starts, so the 'day for night' time change will have settled down by then. estebofarr Posted December 28, 2004 #14 Share Posted December 28, 2004 Cinnamon Hope you have a great time and thanks for the tip about the Spangles. I got pages of good tips and info lurking on your thread! We are looking forward to seeing if anyone writes from the ship. I, too am curious about the weather as will bring less stuff if we don't need cold weather clothes. Of course, the weather can change on a dime and we need to be prepared. We are planning and booking tours as much as possible. The time is flying by. Heidi, glad you and the kids had a nice Christmas. It was too cool and rainy here in FL for any beach this year. Also, my kids are grown but we have grandkids :D
