Mama Lou

I just got off the Veendam a few days ago and I had the pleasure of meeting Mam Lou. I spent some time chatting with her. she wanted me to post on here that she is alive and doing very well!

Mama Lou was on our very first cruise on the Zaandam. Glad to hear she is doing well.

We met her in 2005 aboard the Zaandam, too. She is a great advocate for HAL and blessing to all that meet her.

She's a real hoot! Interesting to hear her tell how she ended up living on a cruise ship.

She had her birthday last week. She's 85, she said she is on no medication and never goes to the doctors. She said it is the healthy living of being on the cruise ship and of all the wonderful people she has met. The crew made a big deal out of it for her! She said the cake was the best she had ever had. She had plenty of stories to tell and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Although I've never met her, I've heard all about this lady who lives on a cruise ship. What an interesting life, and it certainly seems to agree with her.

I've only read about Mama Lou here...maybe she'll be on the Veendam Bermuda cruise, Carol. She surely does have an interesting life...more so than in Assisted Living or a Nursing Home.

We've sailed with her numerous times. If you ever meet her ask to see her WWII pix. She was one hottie in her day.
