averageblokes Posted June 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2009 g'day Have just booked carnival spirit Jan 2010 with a suite cat 11. Never sailing on carnival before they have given me a rear suite 5293 (one of four on the deck) it looks a bit larger on the deck plan than the normal suites on empress deck. I have booked this on line from Australia as it is far cheaper than booking in aus but finding it difficult to communicate with the online booking company so I am sure someone may be able to give some advice whether or not this cabin a good option over the Suites on Empress deck. thanks

EMPRESS DECK INFORMATION: Use this link to view information: http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/Carnival/fleet/spirit/cabin_description/empress.htm Hope this helps to answer some of your questions. We will be on the Verandah Deck in a Cat 11 Aft Wrap suite on the Spirit in Nov 09. From what we understand the rear suites are much sought after. From our understanding there is also less foot traffic, since it is in the rear of the ship, this will also make things quieter for you, if that is what you prefer. tootsiescurly Posted June 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 25, 2009 Your best bet would be to book an cat. 11 aft wrap which will accommodate 3 people. The layout is much nicer than the other cat.11 suites.

jamscckmc Posted June 25, 2009 #8 Share Posted June 25, 2009 I am on the pride in July on deck 7 in a cat 11 wrap balcony. I didn't relize they were 30sq ft smaller then the other cat 11. The huge balcony more than makes up for this. Some have said the layout makes these seem bigger but these are smaller then RC jr suite in sq ft so I wonder how they can have a seperate living/bedroom? serene56 Posted June 25, 2009 #9 Share Posted June 25, 2009 the cat 11 aft suite on deck 5 is not a true suite. If one couldnt book one of the aft corners on any other deck-- this would be a last option as the room is smaller then the other cat 11's the balcony IS larger but its the cabin that is smaller (canrival should charge a 9A rate for these two cabins)
