Fawn Posted June 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2009 OK, I've read a lot of threads about this, but am still confused. Tell me if I have anything wrong, or I'm missing something? In the dining room, ice tea, water, hot tea, coffee and espresso are free. On the Lido deck (buffet area?) you can get ice, iced tea, water, lemonade, hot tea and coffee..all free. No matter where you are, you must have a soda card to get a soda. Soda card is good at all bars and restaurants. They are also good for all juices at bars. You can buy a DOD card that gets you a slight discount on only the drinks of the day. You can also buy another card that is good for all mixed drinks?? You can bring a reasonable amount of non-alcoholic drinks onboard in your carry-ons. What time is the Lido drink area open? Can you go up there late at night for ice and water? TIA! sports-mom Posted June 29, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 29, 2009 pretty much it in a nutshell. But you dont have to have a soda card to get a soda. But if you are a big soda drinker, it makes sense to get one, cuz its a bit cheaper. (unlimited sodas for the price of the card) I believe the lido drink machines are open all the time. And you can get a drink in the middle of the night if you wish.
iowagirl411 Posted June 29, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 29, 2009 You left out the juices on the Lido during breakfast hours.
firefly333 Posted June 29, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2009 I dont know if you like hot chocolate, but we had that on the lido deck a couple of nights, from a machine like the coffee machine. It was pretty good. Capachino is also free in the dining room.

AZ Karaoke Girl Posted June 29, 2009 #6 Share Posted June 29, 2009 not all ships offer the alcoholic drink card or DOD card. But everything else is pretty much right on. They also have coffee specialty shops that charge for "good" coffee. Lido leaves much to be desired. But gets rid of the caffein withdrawel headache. LemurCat Posted June 29, 2009 #8 Share Posted June 29, 2009 In the dining room, ice tea, water, hot tea, coffee and espresso are free. Still, tap water is free. If you order spring water or Pellegrino, you will be charged for it.

kicia Posted June 30, 2009 #10 Share Posted June 30, 2009 Yes you can get milk. If you can't find milk at the Lido for lunch or supper just ask and they will bring a carton out for you.
