Holly2 Posted December 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 19, 2004 We are sailing on the Serenade in Jan. Has anyone heard anything about new menus? We have sailed Celebrity in the past and want to know what to expect. How does Serenade food compare with other RCL ships? What should we try or try to avoid? Thanks for any info. Marysunshine Posted December 25, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 25, 2004 We are going on the Serenade in April. While I've cruised RCCL many times, I am concerned about the food quality so if you could let me know your opinions as well, I'd be very appreciative. joeyancho Posted January 3, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2005 There seems to be a lot of confusion about the new menus. There are new menus on all the ships. However they are just a makeover of the old menus. The menus are new but the selections are still the same. The only ship where the selections actually are different is the Navigator. It is the test ship for the fleet. It is on the Navigator that they are testing the new cuisine. Hope this help. We were just on the Grandeur in December and found the food to be suprisingly poor. The desserts were the only selections that were outstanding. The rest of the food was average to poor.
Geema Posted January 30, 2005 #5 Share Posted January 30, 2005 We were just on the Radiance and the menus for breakfast and lunch were the same each day, with the exception of a special dish for the lunch menu. They have simplified the dinner menu also. They have eliminated *categories* such as appetizer, soups, salads, etc. and have bunched them all together. Much preferred the old menus. The food was great, however - in our opinion.
