Kiwi Kruzer Posted October 3, 2009 Author #530 Share Posted October 3, 2009 Dont know, but if they arrived on the high tide, it should about time for low tide now, so might just be the shallower water showing up.

resordanis Posted October 3, 2009 #532 Share Posted October 3, 2009 Lovely shots there Kiwi Cruiser, looks very tranquil. Has anyone been to Langkawi who can tell us something about the place? Jillybean:) Hi there, Langkawi is quite a pretty place, we have been there twice on Superstar Virgo. Lots of large resorts, reasonable shopping and great beaches. The ships anchor at the Star Ferries wharf, there is a small resort there but otherwise it is either a 20 minute drive to Kwai Town or a short drive to a small town with markets etc. Hope this helps.:)

Kiwi Kruzer Posted October 5, 2009 Author #540 Share Posted October 5, 2009 Great to see those shots KC. At least we know they have berthed at the Cruise Terminal and not been shunted out to the container wharf. Its a great set up,just walk off and you are in a shopping centre, and the Metro is just at the end of the Mall. Bet the bottle shops in the Mall do a roaring trade today, as they can stock up for all the sea days ahead of them.:D We are cruising in there on Diamond Princess, but she is too big for the cruise terminal, so we will be out at the container berth.

Bizziecruzer Posted October 6, 2009 #547 Share Posted October 6, 2009 Will be packing an umbrella for the ash fallout - there has been some substantial volcanic activity of late - so here's hoping it puts on a show for us - just as we're pulling out of the port though!
