South Palm Cruiser Posted July 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2009 Have read several posts re: balcony partitions on the Navigator - info is conflicting. All say partitions are able to be opened - some say the crew will not open them, some say they will, others say only if the partition is between 2 connecting cabins - does anyone have any recent experience with this issue? We have connecting cabins booked and the double size balcony would be awesome- Thanks in advance for your replies.
cb at sea Posted July 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2009 Navigator is one of the older Voyager class ships. If I remember, the partitions are either part of the ship itself or bolted into place. They are not hinged. I doubt they will open. If they are bolted, then it would require the maintenance dept. to use tools...don't count on that! voyager70 Posted July 9, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2009 Actually Navigator was the 4th of the 5 Voyager class ships built. Only Mariner is newer. Balconies on both Navigator & Mariner are built outside the hull (unlike the first 3 Voyager ships) and yes, the partitions can be opened. Whether or not they'll let you open them is anyone's guess - sometimes they do and other times they don't, and I really don't know why. It can't hurt to ask!
