My Time Dining for Groups

Recommended Posts

There is a group of 30 of us sailing on the Serenade soon. We have all chosen My Time dining. The group is made up of small groups 6-8 people of friends. We want to be able to go to dinner, NOT ALL AS A GROUP & NOT ALL AT THE SAME TIME, but in smaller groups of 4-6-8 and maybe 10. For those of you familiar with My Time Dining, will this be feasable? From what I've read on this Forum, MTD is great for parties of 2.

Thanks!!

I didn't see a table for 10 but there were a couple of tables that would sit 6 or maybe 8. BUT they are really pushing the My Time now which I think will mean that the areas will be expanded greatly. I am thinking that once everyone knows about it that one whole floor will be used. It works WONDERFULLY! It is however easier to get a table right before they close so if you choose to eat together one night I would suggest doing that. There are plenty of empty tables at that point so if you don't get one big table you all would be right next to each other at least.

HAVE FUN!!!!

I also wanted to mention that we made many friends with My Time Dining which I thought would not happen. It seemed like the same people showed up around the same time each night. The tables were very close so we got to talk to them each night but we still had our own table and dinner would only last around 45 minutes which is perfect for us. Of course you could make it last longer if you wanted. We would show up at 8:45 and leave by 9:30 the late seating was just on main courses by then. I just can't sit that long!

This year we are taking our young children and most nights we won't take them with us (windjammer and kids club) but I like the flexiblity and shorter dining option for them.

We did MTD on the Enchantment in March - we usually showed up between 8 & 9 for dinner.

There was a large family group that dined at a large round table - 12 places? They probably had it reserved for the same time each evening.

It looked like they actually had more people in their party than room at the table with kids, parents & grandparents. One night there were more kids at dinner and one couple had to sit some where else.
