Is there any designated smoking sections on Carnival Cruises? My mom needs PROOF there is and I cant find it on their website. Please help.:D

Every open deck has one side designated as smoking and the other side designated as non-smoking.

The main show lounge and all dining areas are non-smoking.

The casino, piano bar and most other bars are all smoking areas.

Also, smoking is allowed in cabins and balconies with the exception of Cloud 9 spa cabins on Splendor and Dream.

Carnival is silent on the matter except on the ships noted above.

If she wants proof, just do a search for any Capers from any ship. The smoking/non-smoking areas will be in print.

Although more and more "interior areas" are going smoke-free, There are still outside open-air areas on the ships to smoke. Cigar smoking is another thing. More and more ships are limiting the cigar smoking to only those open outdoor areas designated on the ship. On a couple of trips, the guys were looking forward to smoking their cigars in the cigar-bar, but had to head outside when none were to be found. Depends on ship.

I just searched their website and couldn't find the clause I always found about it...

Oh well, I know, for a fact (since DH & I are smokers), that cabins and balconies you may smoke in/on (except for Spa level ones - those are all non-smoking) and there are designated indoor and outdoor areas.

You may want to contact your PVP at Carnival or your TA - it's probably listed in a brochure somewhere.

Perhaps the staff wasn't aware of that on 2 of the last 4 carnival cruises we were on ??? Believe me, we searched and asked crew!

Next time ask guest services or capers always states designated cigar bar. That would suck if no cigar bar.

Perhaps I can help.

On the Fantasy Class ships...the "cigar bar" is that small area at the very end of the Promenade (before you enter the back smaller theater) on the Starboard side.

On the Conquest/Victory/Destiny class...there is a Cigar lounge across from the back dining room.

On the Spirit class...I am "thinking" they used the Sport Bar....but not positive on that.

Of course the Holiday is about to retire....

Gee. Didn't think of that....NOT!

Of course we looked in the Capers and then we asked the crew. One did point us to the sports bar but once there they had a sign posted NO CIGARS. HMMMM. On the Holiday, they (per a couple of carnival staff) just didn't have specific area and told us the only place to smoke CIGARS was on the outside smoking decks. That's where we smoked and enjoyed ourselves once we nabbed some chairs.

Not a big deal, but please try actually reading the post before sounding so condescending.

Well this has to be proof enough for her. they are just like any other ship.

Now one what question. What the heck are capers???

Capers are the paper, delivered nightly to your cabin, that lists activies on the ship for the next day.

Also has port info, smoking areas, pool times, dining times and places, etc.

Lots of people post them on here and places like WebShots, PhotoBucket, etc.

Yes, right now as you will see from the replies, Carnival is the "Smokers Choice" when it comes to a cruise line.

You will find some bars including the Piano Bar has lots and lots of smoke and smokers.

Happy cruising(smoking).

On Miracle.. Cigar smoking in the sports bar

They eliminated the cigar bar because it was next to the restaurant (so I read...) wow great space planning!

Same thing on Glory. I know first hand; experienced it last year.

Funny thing; the sports bar is next to the casino. There is a 15' wide opening from the sports bar to the casino, yet you can't smoke cigars in the casino! I'm sure no cigar smoke can possibly make it's way through a 15' wide opening that's about 8' tall! :D
