Wi-Fi?

This may be a stupid question, but is there Wi-Fi available on the ships? I'm sailing on the Carnival Ecstasy tomorrow and just wondering if my iPhone will work!

If you don't get an answer here try repeatnig your question on the Carnival board. Also, verify the cost before you use it.

Do NOT use your iPhone for browsing the internet or getting your emails. The charges from ATT for these things are insanely high. I used my iPhone like that on my very first cruise and came home to $650 phone bill. Some people have had bills over $2000.

I second that about the I PHONE. DON'T USE IT ON THE SHIP. If you DO want to use it on the ship, make sure it's on "airplane mode" so it cannot connect to any network. I took it on a cruise with me last summer, and the only thing I used it for was for playing music in the gym. I didn't turn it to airplane mode, and a few weeks after I got home I received a call from AT&T. I owed them $827.53. Turns out that when not in airplane mode, the I PHONE constantly connects to any available networks to keep updating itself. That made for one expensive cruise...

I use my iPhone as an alarm clock all the time, with no problem or extra charges. I also used my Blackberry as a clock with no charges.
