Once you've been assigned a cabin in a certain category from a Guarantee, can you request to be changed to another cabin in that category?

We have been able to do this in the past, no problem, as long as there is another stateroom in the exact category you were assigned. ;)

Check the Princess site and if there is one available in your catagory that you would prefer, just ask to be switched.

You can make the switch within the class.We booked a BD on Emerald and were upgraded to a BA.I saw a BB I liked better but I could not downgrade without paying the BB price.It seems rather foolish but that is the rule.

You can ask, but there must be a cabin available in that category.
