Any free beaches that you can walk to?

Since this is a very safe island we would like to save money here and just walk if possible to a free beach and enjoy ourselves for the afternoon, are there any close enough to the pier to do this?

Seven Mile Beach is a 20-30 minute walk from the pier, turn left and look for the beach. You will need to bring the towels from the ship and a couple of bottles of water because there are no facilities.

For about $10 a person r/t you can take a mini bus to Royal Palms Beach club and here you will have clean restrooms, food and drink.

Just sit on your towels here but not right in front of the beach club just go a few yards pass their property line, the beach is free.

Last time we were in Grand Cayman we hired a guy to take our group to The Royal Palms. We set up right there. Rented some chairs, enjoyed their drinks, food and facilities. We really enjoyed it. We made sure we left early enough that we had time to hit Margarittaville:) and some in the group choose to shop. I really don't find the shopping to be that great.

 

The beach is awesome!

All beaches are free in Cayman. The only thing someone could charge you for is use of their facilities. Royal Palms doesn't charge for restrooms or showers, in hopes that you'll hang out there and buy food or drinks. :D

But you can rent a chair/lounge at the RP. I'm not much for sitting on my towel when there's good lounges nearby. :) That's where we'll be going on our 8/23 conquest adventure.
