Will we see Butchart Gardens fireworks?

We will be in Victoria on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 5 pm - midnight on the Star Princess. We have reserved an excursion to Butchart Gardens through Princess. I understand that they have fireworks that night. Does anyone know if the excursions stay long enough to see them? Thanks.

They are scheduled to start at 9:15 that night so you will see the beginning of them, but probably not the end as your bus will have to leave in order to get back to the ship before sailing. I'm suspecting they will get the ship tours out of there early as there are huge crowds there on Saturdays and the road out of there after the fireworks gets jammed.

We were on the Star Princess the first week in July and the fireworks were going at 10:15 that night. I think we had to be back on the bus at 8:45 or 9 pm to go back to the ship. I wished we could have stayed.

 

No - you can not see them from the ship.

Butchart Gardens is a 40 minute drive from the cruise dock; no you can't see them from the ship.
