Need Help With Transportation From Brooklyn Pier

We will be docking at the Brooklyn Pier at 8am and need to be at 7th Ave & W 50th St in Times Square Area by 9:30am. We were thinking of taking the subway if that is possible or if not how much would a taxi cost and how long would both a taxi vs the subway take?

 

We then will need to return from the same area at around 3:30PM and be back at the Brooklyn Pier by 4:30PM will we have enough time with the traffic?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.:)

HHhmmmm..You arent giving yourself to much time. If you do get off the ship by 8:30, you should be able to make that 9:30 appointment w/o traffic screwing things up. I would hop in a taxi. Do the same going back to the ship, but try to give yourself extra time. I mean, traffic can slow things up. So can a flat tire/breakdown. Not sure how much it will cost. Likely under $20 each way.

With "normal" rush hour traffic you'll be OK...but you never know what can happen to really screw things up...such as an accident closing down the highway you're on, or a bridge or tunnel.
