jjw1026 Posted August 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2009 We have been reading from time to time that the show times on the Maasdam might have changed. If anyone has been on her recently, did they change and what is their current schedule. Didn't like the early schedule and some of the performers that we spoke with last time didn't care of it either.
mammy123 Posted August 11, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2009 I'm new at this, but I'd also like to know if anyone has been on this ship recently and can relay the show times. Thank you.

Himself Posted August 12, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 12, 2009 I think the Maasdam is just leaving Holland today and will cross the Atlantic following the Great Viking rout. Sometime after the 20th of August, there will be a show, Jim Curry and his tribute to John Denver. It is an outstanding show and not to be missed. serendipity1499 Posted August 12, 2009 #6 Share Posted August 12, 2009 Thank you for responding. Really appreciate it. Will have to plan accordingly. . .we are on the late seating, so we might miss most of the shows. We were on the Maasdam in Nov. & had dinner reservations each night in "As you wish dining" at 8:P.M..m..We booked two weeks before departure & could not get fixed dining.. Show time for late seating guests was at 7:P.M. In order to get a good seat for the show, we had to be showered, dressed & in the Rembrandt lounge by 6:40..We wern't thrilled with that schedule & only saw a few shows...Then we had to be sure to leave the show by 7:55 in order to be at the DR. by 8:P.M...Normally Reservations in "As you wish Dining" are only held for 15 minutes & we wanted to beat the crowd leaving the show:(..The whole evening seemed to be rush, rush, rush!:( Wish HAL would revert to the old schedule, so we could enjoy a cocktail with Friends before dinner, then leisurely make our way to the Ding Room at 8, & the show at 10:P.M...And of course, end up at the casino with my nightly allowance of $10.00..LOL But, HAL can't please everyone, so we only went to a few shows.. Cheers...:)Betty
kyriecat Posted August 12, 2009 #7 Share Posted August 12, 2009 In April the shows were at 8 PM for first seating and 10 PM for second seating. We had second seating so went to a few shows after dinner. Our sailing was Caribbean so they probably change it for other areas.
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 12, 2009 #8 Share Posted August 12, 2009 This is happening a lot on the majority of the ships. Sometimes the show times will be 8 and 10 -- and then suddenly they will change to 7 and 9 and vice versa. I was so pleased to keep reading that the Westerdam's show times were 8 and 10 all last spring. Then we got on the ship in April and the show times were changed to 7 and 9 -- for us -- that was disappointing.

OHHH...Great to hear that...We're seriously thinking about taking the Voyage of the Vikings in 2010..I hope!:D:D Does anyone know when the shows are on the Statendam for the Panama Canal? We have late seating & would prefer the 8 & 10 schedule.. Thanks..Betty betty

jjw1026 Posted August 12, 2009 Author #12 Share Posted August 12, 2009 Thanks to everyone's response. Will let you know what the showtimes were on our cruise in late October. From the looks of things, it's either 7 & 9 or 8 & 10. We love cruising, so this will be just another "surprise" to the cruise. Will be interesting and fun, can't wait.
