Saga pearl 11

I have recently received the new Saga brochure with details of the cruises in 2010 on the new Saga Pearl 11.

Anyone any information on the ship, age etc.

I believe it was from Transocean which went banckrupt.

Previous incarnation was as Astoria. Built 1981. 18,591 tons. Previous names Arkona, Astor. Saga was going to buy her, decided no, she was impounded last spring in Barcelona. Sold at auction in Gibraltar and Saga bought her....probably waited until the price was right. EM
