Jaymee287 Posted August 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2009 Me and 2 of my friends are taking our VERY FIRST cruise next summer :) June 6 - June 13, 2010!!! We are so excited we are being advised to fly in a day early and get a hotel........we are kicking the idea around since theres 3 of us to divide the stay with if we find a reasonable price we will be fine. Does anyone know of a hotel right by the port or extremely close? Any hotels that you can give me names of and possibly prces if you have stayed there before I would really appreciate it. We are traveling for the first time without the parents and no boyfriends as well we will be 22 21 and 21 at the time of the cruise but we need a little help to make sure we have everything covered! Please share your knowledge!

Please share your knowledge! Which port? Just a heads up, because of your young ages, you may be forced to stay in the more expensive hotels. Most hotels have a policy that someone over 25 years old must be staying in the room and will not rent to a group of 21 year olds. You'll have much better luck in South Beach than anywhere in Fort Lauderdale however I don't know where you are cruising out of. FWIW, you do not want to stay by the port in FLL or Miami. Rare crewsweeper Posted August 19, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2009 Jaymee, Start a new thread with Tampa in the subject, and you'll get more info. Also do a forum search here for Tampa hotels. Or google up "Ybor City". There are a number of places there that may cater to your needs with free shuttles to the port and plenty of nightlife around within walking distance or via the street trolleys.
