vintagebabe Posted August 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2009 Hi there, Had a silly question. On the Express Pass for Azamara, it asks you if you would like to use the Celebrity Cruises currency conversion program vs your own credit card conversion program. Any one know if one is better than the other as far as getting the most Euros for your dollar? Also, is it better to buy Euros here now in the US(for an October sailing) or one board or in a port. Thanks, Terri

Terri I believe this is for people paying with NON USD credit cards. Like us Canadians ...the cruise will convert the fare to CAD (usually at their highly inflated conversion rate) or you can let your credit card do the conversion for you You need to know what the rate the cruise line is using before you make a choice It is usually better to let the Credit card company do it. You are in the USA so doubt it has any effect on you. Lyn
greyhound101 Posted August 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2009 Not sure this will help you, but if you have a Capital 1 credit card they do not charge you for converting charges on your credit card. We used it in both New Zealand and Australia this past December and their were no fees for converting.

Or do you mean Transactions fees?
