lenbro Posted August 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2009 It's getting close to the time I can make dinner reservations. We will be on the Voyager leaving Istanbul Oct. 2. We live in the USA in the EST time zone. What is the exact time EST. and day that we can go on line to make our dinner reservations and do we need to worry about doing it right away to get the times and days we prefer? Thank you
Travelcat2 Posted August 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2009 According to the date calculator http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html, it would be Wednesday, September 2nd. The earliest you could go online is 12:00 a.m. on that day (midnight the night before)
Wendy The Wanderer Posted August 23, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2009 So, 12:01 a.m. on the first day basically. Good, I'll remember that, although I'm not staying up to book, will do it when I wake up in the morning! I've got my date stored already, and will be reminded! lenbro Posted August 23, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted August 23, 2009 Thanks for the info but can you tell me is that 12 AM eastern standard time?
shua22 Posted August 23, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2009 I cant plan too far ahead. I didnt make any reservations last year on the mariner but I think the butler was able to get us into signatures and the asian place (now prime 7?) at least once each. Think the same will be true on the voyager next week?
Travelcat2 Posted August 23, 2009 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2009 Thanks for the info but can you tell me is that 12 AM eastern standard time? I get so easily confused with this stuff. I asked the time and date website to subtract 30 days from October 2nd. It came up with September 2nd. That day starts at 12:01 a.m. This has to be eastern time (I think). We booked reservations a couple of weeks ago. I used the same website to determine the day we could book. Since we are on pacific time, I deducted 3 hours from midnight and called 9:00 p.m. the day before and it worked. Hope this makes sense:confused:

Border Rat Posted August 24, 2009 #9 Share Posted August 24, 2009 It is definitely Eastern Time. In Texas I was able to access the site at a few minutes after 11:00pm.

NCCruzQueen Posted August 25, 2009 #11 Share Posted August 25, 2009 We are going on the 9-9-09 Mariner cruise and our reservation link did not appear until early afternoon on the 30 day out date. Just sit and twittle your thumbs until it appears!! ;)
