Vancouver - Canada Pier - Convenience Store

There is a convenience store underneath the Fairmont Waterfront across the street from Canada Place. It's in the minimall which is underground. However, if you are sailing on a Celebrity ship, those depart from Ballantyne pier which is a 10 minute cab ride away from Canada Place.

Does anyone know where the closest convenience store/gas station to purchase soda within walking distance of the Canada Pier in Vancouver might be?

Which ship are you on? If you're on Celebrity (which I assume from this posting), the bad news is that Celebrity ships dock at Ballantyne which is near nothing, and is behind port security in a very industrial part of town.

Where are you coming from? Direct from the airport? If so, there's a 7-11 actually at the airport.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. Yes, I am aware we will be departing from Ballantyne pier, but we are arriving Thursday and will be staying near Canada Pier.

Walk west down Hastings towards Stanley Park and there's an Urban Fare (very nice grocery store) that will keep you in snacks and pop. It's on the corner of Thurlow and West Hastings about 2 big blocks from Canada Place.

To the other poster, I thought of suggesting 7-11 at the airport but it's on the domestic side, not sure where the OP is flying in from.

You guys are great. This site is great and we will be traveling from San Diego, and really looking forward to cooling off. It was 102 yesterday.

Our weather has been pretty good, but I think we're expecting Rain on Thursday and Friday :( sorry!

Only a 30% chance of precip on Thurs (70% chance of none) and back into nice weather on Fri. The only problem with weather forcasts in Vancover is that they are good for about 24 to 36 hrs.

For sodas and alike you may care to try London Drugs at Georgia and Granville, the 7-11 at Seymour and Dunsmuir or the Shoppers Drugmart on Granville and about Dunsmuir. London Drugs tends to be the price leader...but your choice will depend upon where you are staying.
