Welcome to Cruise Critic!

The seas are not predictable. They could be rough, smooth, or, most likely somewhere in between. If you have issues with sea sickness, you MUST be prepared everyday you are on a ship.

As to weather, a Google search of a couple of your ports (for example, Google "Lisbon August weather", or "Gibraltar August weather") will give you a very good idea of what you might experience.

I did a similar itinerary a few years ago in early September and don't remember rough weather at all. Daily temperatures started out cool but became hot the further along the cruise. But as everyone has said, it can be different at any time.
