This was originally just a Panama transit cruise. Calif to florida. ..royal sweetened the deal for all solos 150 % for those with 340 loyalty pts 125% solo supplement. For ta to and transit. So both Vancouver to calif and calif to florida are 125% solo supplements are very good deals. Then some said we are getting on in Vancouver and doing the coast cruise. I saidmok andnjust added it. Lol now some say we should do b2b and do the last alaska cruise. It's not a repositioning so 150% but still pretty cheap. I'm holding out still on the alaska b3b, just added the coastal cruise from Vancouver. My hotel in vancouver will cost half what the whole cruise costs lol. But I've never done a full Panama transit ... it just happens to start in Vancouver..that's why it's a one way flight. Solo. It's a great deal for solos. I was under $100 a day in a balcony on the 16 day panama transit then royal announced a couple months ago even sweeter deals on ta tp or transits. So here I am dealing with flying into Vancouver at the end of the season.

My first thought if something from royal didnt load correctly or said ooops...would be IT strikes again. Not oh they are taking away perks. IT seems notoriously bad.

I'm up near PC, port Canaveral.. though several are now saying why fly all the way to Vancouver and not do the last sept 19 alaska cruise and make it a b3b. So far I'm a no. Lol. I've done alaska and not convinced but right now I'm not srriving until Thursday sept 25. Late in the season. I was hoping a Thursday might be cheaper or maybe I'm looking at the calendar wrong, as it seems off for the last alaska cruise to end on a thursday in vancouver. I'm waiting on flights to populate in the next month to decide on a hotel. The best deal I see so far is Aubergo Vancouver Hotel. My issue is my plane lands at 6:20 going by flights I see in august. I am NOT taking a 7 am flight, so I'd be getting in light and might be getting dark and never took this metrorsil or been to Vancouver before but it says imcannget there in the monorail and wouldn't need to use my phone that right now doesnt work in canada. I will be 4 weeks in harmony and when I get back I'll book a flight and hotel then. By then flights will be showing for sept 25. Lol by the time i get in after a long flight I'll just want to eat and crash and not enjoy the hotel. I got a month to decide and think on it. It is a long flight., and I'm not that young or energetic. A nice hotel seems wasted but doesnt need me to change over my phone to get there it tells me. Personally I board harmony next sunday for 4 weeks and will know what's for the turn around lunch, what harmony has for the 340 pt lunch, are pinnacles kicked out of the suite lounge and all the daily stuff. I've done weeks on harmony already so just anything out of the ordinary. Will the next forming hurricane affect our itinerary. Stuff that is unusual mlre so than the every day stuff. There is no rhyme or reason. If you have 2 suite gtys they could be on opposite ends of the ship on different decks, thank you royal IT. People complain all the time my newbie friends got a better location and a upgrade than I got, maybe it's because that newbie cruise didnt get the same discounts. No one knows.

I just got off adventure last Saturday and they did the same thing, I might be wrong but it seems to me like they just decided no more pinns in the suite lounge. On harmony they let the top 30 in, now I was told 0 ...yes 0. We had 55 pinnacles onboard. I have all the counts written down. So pinns used the crown lounge and all diamonds were kicked out from 430 to 8 pm. How many is a lot idk, but seems to me now they are just always kicking out all pinnacles. I have the numbers of D+ etc too. I was on adventure. It's the new normal. I dont think any more the count matters, its how it is now.

The new kidfinder you can track in the app sounds like a great new thing parents will love and have asked for.

If they need a JS to give to you they would do a royal up to a higher suite for someone in a JS before they give you a free upgrade, most likely. They would rather make extra $$$ on a royal up bid than a free upgrade.

I posted several times earlier this year how condos in Florida are in correction. The new law went into effect this hear and many manh condos got hit hard with the way the new reserves have to be now. Instead of one general reserve fund, now each item has to have it's own reserve. Roof, parking lot, garage or carport, painting, on and on. My little ocean front condo wasnt even directly hit by a hurricane though has some damage last year I think it was. I was hit by a 3k assessment the year I bought, and now besides a huge hoa increase, 2 more assessments, 1 due immediately. The hoa says were are in a deficit position. Unless you give it away for sure csnt sell with all this hanging over our heads. Zillow says the zestimate is down about $65,000 on the value. I'm just continuing to rent it out but someone out theirs up for sale and is dreaming. There is no chance it will sell for what it was worth even a year ago. I'm personally hoping once all the condos get this law figured out and all the inspections behind them..and the ever increasing insurance added in the correction will find a bottom. I knew prices were going to drop more this year and that whatever I paid the price for now wouldnt go up, but I dont plan on moving and still glad I moved when I did. But for sure prices here are dropping like a rock. It's the new condo law and additional reserves and insurance, not even particularly that hurricane though I'm sure that added to why insurance is increasing like a rocket. Your friend could sell her condo just not near what she wants I'd bet. We have the same problem here, either reduce your price or cant sell. Add to that, people know interest rates are dropping if they want to finance so waiting. I'm just holding on my little oceanfront. Terrible time to sell a condo. I'm still seeing downtown miami condos down 200k from before. I follow florida real estate closely. And my cousin lives in venice so i follow your friends area too. I've had it happen in izumi in Galveston. Depends when the ship leaves the port. There is tax if the ship hasnt reached international waters as I found out. I agree, it's a penalty. 2nd time i asked them to hold up ringing up my dinner and they held it back until after we set sail. We left the port late, not my fault. Ask and they mkght and can get around it.

The only thing I would change is the app isnt needed to check in and get a time. I have never used the app to check in or even to buy planner items. I use the website. I dont touch the app until I get onboard. I prefer the online site pre cruise. OP now your cabin is only made up once a day.
