I am also thinking Bay of Fundy. Portland walkable. An excursion in Halifax is nice to Peggy's Cove or another town. However, if you want to put on your walking shoes in Halifax, it is doable.
We were on the 5 night from Baltimore last year. It was really one and 2 half days in Bermuda. It was really only on the middle day that we had a full day.
Compared to other cities locals do not use taxis so there are not a lot of them. Sometimes there are limo drivers waiting at the port looking for riders. Once our Uber driver could not get into the port since he had a fare on the next cruise and they were holding incoming traffic until the parking lot cleared out a little.
Panasonic ZS 70 or 80. My spouse bought one for our cruise last year and is more than happy. In addition to my DLSR I carry a Canon SX 740 because of the 40X Zoom and it fits in my pocket
There is a nice beach in Cannes (spoiler alert - tops optional in case you have kids with you). Last year we went to Nice and took the mini train around.
We are on the cruise the week after you and have a mixture of cruise line excursion, private excursions and DIY. The DIY is where we are going into the city and excursions are where we are going further away,
Honfleur and Giverny are both nice. This year we are sucking it up and taking the long bus ride to Mont San Michel. Pictures are from last year in Honfleur.
We took the city bus and it worked out fine. We spent about 90 minutes there. Bonus were there were some humpbacks playing right off shore and an eagles nest by the bus stop.
We are on POA and have sunrise already booked (3:40 am departure) on the second day. First day we have the road to Hana booked. Question is whether we should just chill when we get back to the ship or is there something we can do befor 5pm all aboard?
I have been on the 8 hour tour. The bus ride up travelled a different route than the train ride back. The bus made a number of photo stops and got to Emerald Lake. Chilkoot is less expensive. It is incorrect if they market this as an ultimate rail adventure, but we saw a lot in the 8 hours.
If it's a hot summer day, you might find that you have had enough before you have really had enough. I have been there twice in the summer and after a couple of hours there might have been more to see but we were hot and tired.
I also have decent results with the lens against the glass. I also bought a hood (not the usual lens hood) which was effective. Problem was that it blocked my view so I could not see upcoming photo ops.
We have sailed from Barcelona three times and visited one other time. We have never seen any animosity from locals. Every time we are there we find something new to see.
