My fellow cruisers, We are seasoned cruisers, who sail primarily on Celebrity. Pre pandemic we did a number of HAL sailings including the Nieuw Statendam which we thoroughly enjoyed. We sail in a balcony and for the most part have found the price point higher on HAL, at least when the cruises are first announced. We like to book in advance. With Celebrity, I can often get a group rate which gives us a lower rate. Celebrity has recently changed their menus and substantially downgraded the quality of their food. We do not eat meat and many of their fish offerings is Tilapia! Despite the cost cutting measures all of the cruise lines have had to take, it’s sad that Celebrity has stooped to this level. I would be most appreciative if those who have recently sailed can comment on what changes HAL has made and if the quality has suffered. Many thanks!

I sincerely hope you are right, however it appears a major change is being made. A thought I had is they are trying this on the Equinox to test the waters. Going to ask the question to someone on the current European cruises.

To us the downgrade in quality of food is our biggest concern. We do not eat meat so removing the classics- namely the salmon will leave us with virtually no option. All that has been posted here is appearing on the menus for our upcoming July Equinox. I’ve contacted the Captain’s Club & upon asking for a high level email, I was given the following: CEC@CELEBRITY.COM. In the subject line put ATTN CEO LAURA HODGES BERTHGE I know another email was provided here , so I will send to both. To me this thread has provided enough dissatisfaction, that should be shared with Celebrity before they loose their loyal followers! Often we say food is subjective, but it has become downright awful with their most recent changes. Fine to remove the lobster & add upgraded items for $$ , but don’t downgrade the main offerings!! Thanks to all !

So sad !! This is why we won’t go back either! Let’s hope by the time you sail on the Beyond, Celebrity will get the message and make some changes. Funny, the Beyond in November was the first cruise where we saw the changes and said the food is not the same!! Then we did a 10 night on the Silhouette in April & the classics were still there. Now - oh boy! Enjoy the Beyond!!

Look forward to your blog! Reading all of this with 8 upcoming Celebrity cruises, first being July on the Equinox, is very disheartening. For whatever it is worth I will be writing to Celebrity & also referencing this post- it says an awful lot . I am certain the post cruise surveys they have gotten have not been positive either. In the past you had a complaint here and there. This is now a MAJORITY!! BON Voyage Abby Cruiser 45 !! Enjoy!

Very good idea- will do the same in July when we sail. In addition to the food, would love to hear about the entertainment & live music. We all know the service will be excellent! ‘Have a great cruise and perhaps you will be pleasantly surprised with some of the new food offerings !

Reading all of this is VERY upsetting!! I’ve also looked at the app for our July , 30th 6 night Equinox sailing and the menus are new and pretty much awful!!! We have taken 5 post pandemic Celebrity sailings, and while we saw a downgrade in the food options and quality, this takes the cake!!! We don’t eat meat, and always relied on a good fish option. The salmon on 1 or 2 nights always a good backup. Now who knows!! Worst part - my brother and SIL are coming on this cruise with us. They don’t travel much at all and we have always RAVED about Celebrity to them . Sounds like this may be very embarrassing - especially seeing a cheeseburger on the dinner menu and 2 nights of tilapia- the cheapest fish you can buy. We never eat it and neither do they!! I don’t care about the lobster being eliminated BUT downgrading the menus to this will take Celerity way down!!! Following our July cruise on the Equinox 🤞🤞🤞we may need to rethink the next 7 cruises we have booked with Celebrity!! Paying their prices and then struggling each evening on what to eat- that’s not our idea of a vacation - especially at the current prices!!! Coincidentally the other day we looked at the new RCCL menus and said no way can we do this !! And we used to LOVE the OASIS ships- particularly Symphony. Now it appears Celebrity has downgraded along with them! Thanks to all for the insight on the new food offerings ! CELEBRITY, HOPE YOU READING ALL OF THESE COMMENTS AND TAKE NOTE HOW UPSET YOUR MOST LOYAL CRUISERS ARE!! NOT THE WAY TO KEEP US COMING BACK!!

Thank you very much. The area outside the buffet sounds similar to the outside area on the HAL ships. As to the bands, the same applies on Celebrity-depends on which bands are booked for the sailing. Now I just need to find a decent rate for a Balcony in Princess Plus!

Contemplating the Enchanted for Summer 2024. we love outside - does the buffet have an outside dining area? love to dance ( 70’ s age ) how is the live music? AND YES - great food and service- open seating for dinner ! adult area of the pool and therm o sweet Thank you! Paula A

Thanks to all for sharing your experiences! DH & I love Murano too and have 1 night booked on our July sailing. I have Tuscan booked & will report back if we keep it. Getting another night in Murano is not an option at this point other than 930pm. Enjoy all the wonderful days & nights we experience on our cruises!!

Possibly- they are doing a series of 7 & 6 night.

Oh boy well we won’t be ordering the calamari unless the Maitre d’ can tell us the quality has improved. We are of Italian decent and know our calamari! We will be going for the experience for them! DH and I have been on 6 sailings ( Caribbean) since the start up and while the food is good for the most part, it’s not what it used to be. Thanks for your feedback!

Thank you much - this is great information, particularly about the upgrade for the strip. My brother and SIL are meat eaters. DH and I are fish eaters so hopefully they qualify of the various fish items will be good. As you say- go for the experience! They don’t cruise often at all so 🤞🤞🤞THANK YOU AGAIN!!
