  1. At $10 my chances of going to Bistro on 5 now are now roughly zero. It is such a shame that Celebrity seem to be trying to extract every last penny out of us, to the point where I fear we will be paying to use the theatre next! I used to use the speciality restaurants quite a lot, but not steer clear now as the cover charge has gone up and up. It is worth noting that on other lines ie Cunard you can dine in the 'pub' and at other locations for zero extra charge. Let's face it you only eat the cruise lines food once each mealtime, so paying extra for it seems pretty unnecessary, and will only serve to drive us away in time.

    Such a shame.

  2. In addition the brochure and website plans show the suite only restaurant on deck 4, whereas everybody keeps saying it will be on deck 3 of the main restaurant.

I must say deck 4 makes more sense as that level of the restaurant has seats for far less people, which seems better with the suite restaurant taking away one of the two main entrances to the restaurant.

  3. I have been looking at a cruise to the Med on Queen Elizabeth departing in October 2016.

This cruise is not yet open for booking but on the Cunard website there is an option to register an interest.

Is there any advantage to doing this or is it best to just wait till bookings are open. ?

    Hi,

I believe I have pre registered on the same cruise 24th October Med?

I will let you know how things go we the cabin is allocated on Tuesday.

  4. 1. The same repetitive itineraries from the UK, with the same cruise being repeated about 4 times in a row, followed by an equally repetitive one for several more cruises. Cunard for example offer some fantastic 10/11/12/14 night cruises to some of the best ports of the Mediterranean from Southampton, meanwhile Celebrity plod on doing the Canaries and Baltic over and over.

    2. Prices continuing to increase even after the offers have been taken away. Prices even for an outside cabin in 2016 now cost more than £150pp per night.

  5. Hi,

I am on the same cruise in an inside cabin. I checked this morning with Celebrity before seeing this thread. I was quoted £350pp to upgrade from an inside to a balcony. It looks like the offer you have been made is really good. I would take it for sure :)

  6. The one big negative of the new restaurant is that it appears a section of one side of the main restaurant looses it's windows. This will lead to dark corners with only artificial lighting  Nearly as bad as on Cunards Queen Elizabeth and Victoria, with the galley running down one side of the restaurant.

  7. Hi, it looks like some clever clogs has changed the password criteria on 'my celebrity' to specify all passwords are 7 digits or more. All very well unless you have had a 6 digit password for years! Now I am unable to log into 'my celebritry' at all. I just get a message saying passwords must be 7-15 Characters. Spaces not allowed.

I have tried clicking the 'forgotten password' link but this does not send the email as promised.

Is anyone else having this problem?

    Many thanks

  8. Unfortunately things change. I used to pay $.30 a gallon for gas and have someone pump it and wash my windshield and check my oil. Now, at $3.50 a gallon we get squat. Yes, I enjoyed the chocolates but it will not make me change cruise lines as I still get more with Celebrity.

Things could be worse, we pay nearly $10 a gallon for gas in the UK! :)
