Wilderness Explorer & Crab Feast was one of the best excursions we have taken on our 2 Alaska cruises. We went on the boat to the crab traps & the captain fed swooping down eagles a few feet from the boat & the Dungeness crab feast at the lodge was excellent. Going back next year & it will be the first excursion we book.

Neither MCT or Brooklyn cruise terminal schedules show the Gem docking on October 20, 2018 from Canada New England cruise. Schedule shows return on October 18. I assum NCL modified this itinerary to add 2 more days just recently. Do NCL shipsusually dock in Manhattan or does it ever dock in Brooklyn

What is the NCL procedure upon disembarkation from cruise terminal to LaGuardia? Does NCL bus pick you up right outside the ship? Have never used NCL transfer before but thought this might be easier than getting our own transportation to the airport.

Did the crab feast at George Inlet Lodge & loved it. One of the top excursions in our 2 Alaska cruises. Highly recommend it. Loved watching the eagles soar down right next to the boat to feed & thoroughly enjoyed eating our fill of Dungeness crab.

In Ketchikan we did Wilderness Explorer & Crab Feast. One of the best excursions in our 2 cruises to Alaska. Highly recommend.

ACT was great. We stopped at the wildlife for a short visit & really enjoyed it.

Millennium Alaska Hotel on Spenard is near the airport with a shuttle. Good restaurant & you can watch the planes come in on the lake. Also has air conditioning in rooms which was great because it was hit when we stayed there las summer.

NCL Jewel northbound from Vancouver to Seward includes both. We did this itinerary on NCL Sun last year & absolutely loved it. We took ACT bus from Seward to Anchorage airport where we picked up our rental & drove to Denali. Fabulous trip!

We spent the night at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood then drove to Denali. The resort is beautiful & lots to do in the area. Ride from Girdwood to Denali was enjoyable & we stopped in Talkeetna. We found Talkeetna to be interesting but it is more of a tourist trap like Glitter Gulch. Hope you enjoy !!!

Our cruise ended in Seward & we took bus with Alaska Cruise Transportation to Anchorage airport. We rented car there & drove to Denali. This enabled us to return the rental at the airport just before we flew home. That is an option as opposed to renting car in Seward.

We had a room with 2 queen beds.

For Denali I highly recommend Motel Nord Haven (Aurora Denali Lodge now) in Healy. Just 10 minutes away from park nestled off the road away from hustle & bustle of glitter gulch. Older facility but very large, clean rooms. They provide a free hot breakfast & you can order a lunch for Denali. They also provide you with a discount at Dlack Diamond Grill which has great food with huge portions. Stayed here last year & loved how quiet & serene the surroundings were as oppose to glitter gulch area. Very economical too!

We stayed at Millinneum Alaska Hotel (used to be called Lakefront)on Spenard Road last year & it was very nice. Good restaurants & airport shuttle plus air conditioner in the room. It was hot so AC was great.

Has anyone booked excursions through shore trips.com? Found some excursions here for Halifax. The RCL excursions we were interested in are already booked up so looking for alternatives.

We were able to get confirmed MTD!! My question now is should we make a reservation for a two top at a specific time each night or just show up & ask for a two top? Can you make such a reservation before sailing or once on board?

Which trolley tour do yo recommend - the 2.5 hour or 4 hour?

What happens if you do not get your two top at your assigned MDR time & you don't want to share a table? Do you have to go to the buffet or can you wait till a two top is available? My view is that when we go out to a restaurant we don't get put at a table with strangers so on a cruise we should be able to sit with who we want -- not trying to be antisocial. Guess maybe that is why we like NCL cruises. We are on the waiting list for MTD. Can past cruisers please weigh in of our chances of getting it.
