  1. If you google oatcakes, you will find they come in various shapes and sizes from thick round hard biscuits to large thin soft ones, savoury or sweet, filled or seasoned, Yorkshire ones are cooked from below and have bubbly tops, who would have thought, anyways that's a wrap!!!👍😇
  2. Maybe the cruise lines could offer a proportion of their cruises, probably 15% would be very generous, as veggie and vegan only, and then everyone could enjoy a fuller menu choice. Just a thought!!
  3. I am still waiting for my Sly Princess OBC claim to be applied, after a Feb 2nd claim. As regards future claims, I am assuming that for everyone, whether certificated or broker nominee shareholders, all that will be needed is to fill out a redemption claim online through the stockperks app, and stockperks will do all validation checks.
  4. Since deck 8 is the promenade deck, I guess the other one will not be on the promenade deck.
  5. I was checking my Sky account yesterday looking for anything I could cancel, when I noticed that as well as Sky talk anytime, which cost £13.50 per month, I also had Sky Talk internet which was free. So I checked with Sky and as long as your phone is connected through your router, you can cancel the Sky Talk and continue to use your land line with no additional charge. I assume this will work with any broadband supplier if your router has a telephone connection, and of course if they don't charge for internet calls, and you will need to cancel your land line account if it is with a different supplier to your broadband. A couple of issues though are that some things, like personal alarms might not work unless the supplier has this enabled, and you will need to add your local area code to any local numbers you have stored, otherwise your calls will get lost in the web.
  6. It seems that many young adults, once they are no longer entitled to totally free NHS dental services, no longer bother about regular check ups, and let their dentist delete them from their NHS list. That is of course until they have problems, then its difficult to find a dentist.
  7. We do have cabin preferences because my wife's stroke left her with only one good hand her left, so we prefer a bathroom set up with the toilet against the left wall, where the rail gives her more support than the flimsy drop down rail, and our TA was able to secure just such a cabin for us. If you used our TA would have no need pack your thong.😉😎
  8. @TigerB we just booked a saver fare for an accessible balcony cabin, and our TA was able to choose our cabin the day after we booked, so we already know the cabin number. If you use a TA it might be worthwhile asking them if they can do the same.
  9. I have no experience of this, but I would be very surprised if you were to be downgraded. Like you I guess that if your original cabin was a 3 or 4 berth cabin, which you dont need, then that could be why they have moved you, to accomodate a family booking.
  10. Do the same rules and compensation levels apply to charter flights that apply to scheduled flights, if so I imagine Maleth will be out of pocket by the end of their contract. So they become insolvent, go bust and Maleth 2 take over their assets but not their liabilities!!!!!
  11. Why must it surely contain bacteria? If it was bacteria free when first produced by the ship, or taken on board from a purified local source, then it should remain bacteria free, surely.
  12. I hope the brown water is only a result of sediment in the pipes, and not cross contamination with anything more noxious.
  13. I don't believe that P&O impose an admin fee when cancelling, only when moving a cruise.
  14. It does appear from forum posts over the years that Azura has a regular problem with a sewage smell, somewhere forward port side, and since none of the other ships have regular reported smells, it seems unlikely that it is solely due to passengers disposing of the wrong items. Short term blockage problems do occur on most ships, but do not routinely result in bad smells.
  15. I imagine that all cruise companies would like to think that their launch prices will always be the best, but life is not that simple. All holiday companies will need to discount some of their poorer selling offerings, if they are to ensure they don't operate at a loss.
  16. That was my understanding as well, but I wonder if calls made in Ireland do not qualify, a cruise some friends are on calls at Dublin as well as Le Havre, which would seem somewhat overkill.
  17. @Selbourne you may be fortunate in martinique being on a smaller ship and dock at the Town Pier otherwise you will be in the commercial port which is a 15-20 minute walk into town. There is a steep section early on but not impossible, and we found it relatively easy although my wifes wheelchair does have bigger tyres on the front casters. However it's not much better than the other Caribbean Islands. You could see plenty of iguanas lounging in the trees on your way into town.
  18. I think that the Beach House was intended to have a Caribbean/Mexican vibe to its food, and that's why most of dishes are highly seasoned and spicy.
  19. Food quality and presentation always has varied by the standards demanded by the head chef.
  20. Do you know for certain that the P&O price for a cruise booked in OZ is less that one booked in the UK.? Even if OZ rules do not permit grats to be included, the fact that the exchange rate varies will surely be enough to mask the real sterling price.
  21. If you mean the loyalty lunch, then yes there is normally only one in a 14nt plus cruise.
  22. The turnround ships have always had priority for the inner berths, just visiting ships are always berthed by the sea wall.
  23. Whilst I can sympathise with passengers who suffer delays for whatever reason, I don't really think that complaints about not having inflight entertainment or PE seating, and wanting compensation, over and above the refund of any premium paid, is realistic. Complainers seem not to appreciate the benefits that dedicated charter flights offer, far cheaper flight costs and a guarantee that sailing would be delayed if there are flight delays. Others have commented that the alternative to Maleth would have been either arranging your own flights, which would have needed overnight accomodation to guarantee you made the cruise, or a complete cancellation of your cruise. In hindsight P&O probably would not have chosen Maleth, but I suspect the fallout would have been even more negative had they cancelled cruises.
  24. I think you are over thinking the issue, I am not aware that anyone on a P&O cruise will have any gratuities added to their final bill, nor do I think that any passengers will be expected to give tips to stewards or waiters. As far as I am concerned gratuities are not expected, but if you feel someone has performed above and beyond the norm, you are free to give them something in recognition. .
  25. You actually do not need a joint account in order for all your immediate family to be covered. I have a personal account and my wife is also covered.
