But lots of restaurant customers in the UK order veggie dishes. There are loads of vegetarian dishes among the mediterranean countries, and very tasty they are as well. So I don't believe the idea for a veggie restaurant was I'll conceived, just not well presented as an alternative option by P&O.
-
But they have eventually seen the light. However there have been lots of favourable reports about the food in Green &Co and if P&O had sold the idea of a meat free experience with delicious tasting vegetarian options, then it might have been more successful. But we all know that P&O don't really handle customer service very well.

Leaving a cruise early and making own way home?
terrierjohn replied to Tikka234's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
If, as @9265359 states, EES will not affect most P&O cruises or any sailings out of the UK, then we have no need to be concerned on this part of the forum. For other EU holidays the airport or ferry port wIll deal with the EES process, and ETIAS when it comes in will operate similar to the US ESTA, and will be linked to your passport and should not really cause us any problems. -
Leaving a cruise early and making own way home?

Will ships passengers have to do the biometrics at the first or all ports or will the EU allow the manual system to continue, with cruise ships confirming all passengers and crew have returned from shore visits. -
P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?

My GP says that 150/80 is OK for over 80s, if only mine would stay below that! -
Were these Intercruises or Eaveway coaches, the latter still arrive around 1:00 - 2;00 pm.
-
Unfortunately the intercruise coaches now all seem to have later arrival times, the northern ones don't arrive until 3:00pm, which is too late for the embarkation lunch.

If we do reach the final I think we would have a better chance of winning against France, but I think Spain's name is already on the trophy. -
I agree that seems a bit extreme. We always end up throwing them away, as they go out of date before we need them, I suppose I should be happy about that, but being a tight Yorkshireman, I don't like waste.
-
We always have immodium in our general travel medicines, just in case they are needed, and 99% of the times they have been needed are non Noro related.
-
No they are not from Yorkshire, but I guess if they only had one main, the choice was made because they felt half the 10 oz fillet was enough, I know it would be for me.
-
A poster on another forum said he and his wife shared a 10oz lava steak on Aurora recently, only paying one supplement, but no idea if they could have had a second main course as well. We will maybe have to wait for @TigerB 's next cruise to find that out.😉

I was not impressed with our last 2 visits to Sindhu on Iona, most dishes seem far to dry for my taste and, although I am sure TV cooks would probably drool about the exotic flavours, I found them a bit too bland. I don't like over hot dishes, but I do prefer some sort of spicy flavour.

Grey cloudy skies this morning and a miserable 12 Deg, this is definitely not summer weather. Any party that can guarantee a return to warm weather and sunshine gets my vote on Thursday. -

After that extra ordinarily lucky escape, I think Gareth should buy a Euro millions lotto ticket this week. I feel desperately sorry for the Slovakia fans, having such a great victory snatched away from them in about 80 seconds playing time, must be heartbreaking. -
All your P&O dress code comments and queries.

I don't want to have to go to that trouble, but I would prefer to have the choice to eat in the MDR, even if I am not wearing a jacket and tie. -
Price trends for P&O cruises over time?

A good TA will ensure that you dont lose your original cabin in these circumstances. -
All your P&O dress code comments and queries.

I don't really have a strong opinion about formal nights, but if certain cruise lines want to try and make 1 or 2 nights a cruise a little more special just to add some variety to the cruising experience, and that includes a smarter dress code, then I am happy to go along with it. But I would be equally happy for the cruise line to find some other way to enhance the experience, without having the formal dress code. -
But cats and birds are not normally friendly.
-
But people are most infectious when they have symptoms, which is when they should be quarantined in their cabins and should limit the spread of Noro. So the paranoia about infected utensils is, IMO, overstated. But if you feel you're under threat you can always avoid the self service restaurants.
-
It could well be infected crew, but Moley did say ships have a protocol for infected crew to be kept isolated until they are clear of infection.
-
I am feeling upset and depressed because I have never, knowingly, seen one of these hidden ducks. Mind you thats not surprising, my wife tells me I never see when anything is out of place!
-
Even if they cleaned it for months, as soon as it went back into service it would be likely to succumb to further outbreaks. Its infected passengers more than infected ships that cause Noro outbreaks.

Our fantastic Arvia cruise June 9th- June 23rd

I wonder how insurance companies reconcile this holiday advertising with the fact that many folk work and their houses are empty every weekday?
