  1. When I found him a couple months ago in all my on line research, his contact info came up in my search as well. I simply called the phone number that I found for him and told him I was looking for a new PVP because I had lost mine I had for more than 10 years and asked if he was able to take on a new client. He advised me what I should do if I wanted him to be mine, which I did. That is my best suggestion to you, do the same.
  2. They most certainly do little kids. I saw a child younger than this getting his hair cut while I was getting a pedi. Looked like Grandma and Grandpa brought him in for a "big" boy haircut. He couldn't have been but 5 years old.
  3. You have not been able to access your room - as in going there and staying it - for quite some time. But yes, you can go quickly drop your luggage and leave right away. This is for Priority guests only - so anyone else reading this that may not be it does not apply.
  4. Yes, it usually will actually prompt you and say " you have OBC would you like to use that" I was so happy when they made this possible (relatively new for a long time cruiser)! Was able to use OBC instead of paying out of pocket up front. You can use OBC for prebooking specialty dinning, excursions and fun shop purchases too.
  5. Nope no port skip. I got a response to my email and they said it was a fun shop purchase refund. I don't have refund due that I am aware of. Oh well, extra $69 for me to use next month 😁
  6. This is the key reason I prebook. I like to get a pedicure shortly after getting on so I have nice toes for the cruise. Also certain time slots are less expensive then others. The first time slots of the cruise tend to be less than later in the cruise. Also, people will book specific things for say formal nights. They might want to get their hair or nails done and these slots sell out pretty quick. Prebooking helps assure the time slot you want.
  7. Yes I use gift cards, but nope that isn't it. We don't leave an overage when we get off. I plan it out just so I don't. Usually by the 2nd to last day if we have money left, I go to Cherry on Top and get new gift cards to use for my next cruise and then on the last day if I have anything small I buy I just let it charge to my credit card. It's a weird amount $69.
  8. I have found that the desserts and donut you have to pay for
  9. I used to use the perk and packed a little lighter for a few years. For a 7 day cruise I might pack 5 outfits and send the clothes we wore down and the first 2 days cloths (just shorts and shirts, no undies or anything), and then we were set for the rest of the cruise. I will say I stopped because I did have some issues. Anything that was little lighter in color (like yellow) always seemed to be very grey and I also ended up with a stain on something. Like others have said, your clothes go in their own mesh bag and then are washed together with a bunch of others. If I find I am going to need to do laundry and I can't pack enough clothes, I will just do a quick load onboard myself. I have a "laundry" pack I take on every trip no matter where I go just in case. Some powdered laundry soap (since we always do carry on) and a couple dryer sheets in a quart zip lock folded over. I find that around 9pm on the ship the laundry room is dead.
  10. Ya in my experience you have to be a decent drinker to make it pan out. We don't do coffees or energy drinks and I have maybe 1 milkshake a cruise. I am lucky to average 1 alcoholic drink a day, and other than that is it is water. My husband gets the bottomless bubbles though and he gets his money out of that one.
  11. Thanks all, opened and printed the card. Now, I just have to figure out why they are sending me a gift card "refund" from my Sept 2022 cruise lol! I called Carnival and they gave me the email for the gift card department to ask. I am not due any refund that I am aware of for that cruise lol! And I keep pretty darn good records, I know when they miss $.05 usually. 😀
  12. I just looked at the link, and it looks like the per drink prices might be a little light (probably not a big difference for you), but I would add about $1 - $1.50 a drink from what I can see. When we cruised just about 60 days ago drink prices had gone up again.
  13. Yea, I don't think they do the decorations once onboard. Could be wrong. But the cake, yes you can get that onboard.
  14. I have only ever been able to do this with the actual booking number for that person. You might be able to call the Fun Shops and ask them if you have the guests names and also their ship and sailing date, they MAY be able to help but not sure. Also, it MAY show up in their booking if they go look at it (so if you want it to be a surprise for later keep that in mind). I think there is a way if you are doing it as "gift" that it doesn't show, but then they do not have a record of it either once on board to make sure that the transaction is handled correctly. Go read the thread on this now, I just posted a step by step of how the process works on board. It is a little complicated if you prebook as then it is charged again and then credited and you have watch to make sure that all goes smoothly. Under thread "Random Spa Question" Maybe you could just give that person a Carnival gift card to use on board?
  15. Yea, that's him. I saw that too! He's a great guy for sure. Still love and miss my old PVP though
  16. Yes, the tip will be automatically added (I mentioned this in another thread), but it should only be the 18% if it is not, ask for it to be corrected immediately before you sign the receipt. To answer some of your other questions too Here is my advice to anyone reading this. 1. They always rebill in the spa and then are supposed to issue a credit back. ALWAYS review receipt before you sign it and make sure the amount they are billing you in the spa matches exactly the amount that you prepaid for the service (I have had it show up higher once or twice on board). Keep you prepaid confirmation with you for this very reason. 2. Tip is included! when they bill, there is always a line that has gratuity of 18%, make sure it is 18% of the prepaid amount (18% of a prepaid $50 service = $9, but if they are trying to bill it out at a new $60 rate on board they may remember to correct that to the prepaid $50 amount but the tip line may still show 18% of the $60 so $10.80). A lot of people do not realize that the tip is included already and then they tip AGAIN and fill in the blank tip line at the bottom of the receipt. You can always add more if you want, but watch and know a tip has already been added once. 3. Watch your sail and sign account, you should see the billing come through AND a credit as well (in the above example you would see a $59 charge to your bill and then a $50 credit back as gratuity is NOT included when you prepay). SOMETIMES this gets messed up. If you do not have the credit within 24 hours go back to the SPA (don't waste all the time standing at guest services). Advise them at the SPA desk that the credit has not been issued and it has been 24 hours.... ask them to address it with accounting while you wait. I have done this, and they call while I am standing there and it is back on my sail and sign card within an hour or two.
  17. I wouldn't just call and ask for a new one you just don't know what you can get. I would research on line. I lost my long time EXCELLENT PVP because he was promoted (the BEST ever). He assigned me to someone new he thought might be good for me, but we didn't mesh well. I googled things like best Carnival PVP, etc. and was able to make a short list of a few names that kept popping up through multiple sites. Then I looked into them a little bit more by googling them. Doing this I was able to find one that used to actually be a cruise director and now is a PVP and reached out to him. He was a lot like my old one and we hit it off, so I requested to be switched to him. He said I just needed to send an email to him with the request and I could be switched (it needed to be documented). He took care of it from there.
  18. To the OP, Jgmagic200 hit this on the head I am sure. And I think the real core of the issue is you cancelled through the hub app instead of dealing direct with someone. Usually if you cancel something on board, dealing with a live person, they issue the refund to your sail and sign account within 24 hours. We have never had it happen any other way and that includes spa, restaurant, and excursions. I think because you used the hub app, it has to go through the back accounting office now and their whole accounting situation. Customer Service can only be reached by email now, which can take up to 45 days... and in my experience takes at least 2 - 4 weeks for sure. The lesson here I think is, that if you do find yourself in a position where you need to cancel something on board... do it direct with a person and make sure it is dealt with while on board the ship. Don't wait until after the sailing because then it becomes very cumbersome and time consuming. On board the ship they are only dealing with 2000 guests... the land based accounting office is dealing with 10's of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of accounting statements at a time I am sure.
  19. Correct, you should set up your arrival time and do your check in on line, then arrive during that window (it is a 30 minute arrival). SOMETIMES you may be able to enter the terminal earlier, but you can't count on it. You can arrive later if something comes up. Either of these though you need to go to the early/late line.
  20. I have a specific question from anyone that has received an E Gift Card Refund from Carnival. I just received an email stating it was a gift card refund from giftcards@carnivalgiftcards.com. When I click on it, it takes me to a site carnival.ourgiftcards.com and wants me to verify the email the gift card was sent to. I have never received a refund via E Gift Cards, Only hard cards in the mail. I am SO very paranoid now about all the different ways people try to scam you. Can someone confirm this is legit and this is how they have gotten their gift card too that has first hand experience please. Are these two websites legit? Thanks!
  21. Don't forget the Milkshakes and Energy Drinks too. Those are included. We only ever got it once because we got a REALLY special deal (in 50 cruises). We never would spend this much on drinks even including everything you can get. Figure about $15 for a mixed drink now though... if that helps!
  22. PS: I will say the screen shot they provided shows no penalty, but I swear it is nagging at me and somewhere I have seen, for the steakhouse at least, if you don't cancel like 24 hours in advance there is a penalty.
  23. Agreed, if that is stipulated in the rules and I book knowing that is the rule, then I forfeit any refund if I choose to cancel (have done this in a lot of different scenarios in my years traveling too - I would buy tickets for something down the road and then we decide not to go and I am out the money at my own doing - I have probably lost enough money to pay for an entire cruise over the years - but I did so knowingly). However, in this particular case there is not a "no refund policy." Therefore, the OP is entitled to cancel without penalty if they so decide, and receive a full refund. People or giving them grief for cancelling and expecting a refund - which is the right to do so
