  1. But Elite is easier to make: only 15 cruises needed (even short cruises count)
  2. I have submitted via the app & also received the emails showing they were applied. Can you tell me WHERE on my bookings I can find the SH OBC...can't seem to find it. Thanks!
  3. Power Strips almost certainly WILL be confiscated. I have a 2 prong adapter like the one below. That way we have some more plug options.
  4. Huh; we have sailed Celebrity, Princess, RCCL, CCL, & NCL--it is rare our luggage is actually in our room. Particularly with ships sailed full most of the time anymore, and many lines cost cutting by having stewards take care of more cabins (often only 1x/ day), taking the time to put them in the rooms would add a lot of time to the process. I am SURE if you simply ask (perhaps you have mobility issues) there would be no problem for them doing it. I find any reasonable request it honored--I just try to keep them to a minimum as I know how hard they work.
  5. Some would argue that is a downgrade (I would not)--that P2 is a "real" balcony while CI is not. I saw a porthole balcony--the inability to face chairs forward was a deal breaker for me. Some would argue this IS an upgrade (NOT because it is Concierge...waste of a category, imo) as an aft balcony is considered by many to be superior. Admittedly under OVC not ideal, particularly if one is not an early riser!
  6. Us as well! We usually get to the port about 10 (I can wait at the hotel or wait at the port, TRULY no difference). Goodness knows when boarding starts can vary due to circumstances, but are typically on by 11. Let's get that vacation started!
  7. Ascent has some of the biggest interiors in the business--I don't think you will be disappointed! (PS The Ascent JUST sailed for the 1st time this week so expect some videos in the coming weeks...BUT if you look at those videos of Beyond interiors, they should be virtually identical--the other rooms I've seen this week appear to be same layout as other Eclass ships)
  8. @truckswain Thanks for your review--we are on Beyond again next Friday. We agree that Eclass ships are a step above--the love affair began w/ the Edge summer 2021 (just a few weeks after start up--1/3 full, it was AMAZING), then the Apex March 2022. We did the Beyond & a SS for the 1st time in April. We did enjoy it, and got a fantastic price (close to what a balcony costs when factoring in the OBC--which apparently is now gone?) While it was nice to do Retreat once, I doubt we will unless we can get it for that price (UNLIKELY). Like you, we are out & about on the ship so Retreat loses a lot of value for us. Honestly we found Luminae no better than Eclass MDRs (we find them all very good) Next week we have an OV on Deck 3--easy access for DH to grab us drinks while I ready myself for dinner. (we have found we use balconies very little; we like then in theory...)
  9. EXACTLY why I avoid jewelry stores in general on ships & ports. I DO NOT DO hard sell--in fact, that behavior makes me LESS likely to buy if I was planning to. And I have let them know that. I guess more people are are swayed by that behavior than not...
  10. You need to check out Nachi Cochum. It will require a cab ride but it is a little cheaper & LOVELY.
  11. We are Caesars Diamond members & supposed to get 20% off the base fare. HA. Called today...price was almost the same as if I booked it myself! Should have been about $300 less. Not sure what that is about...
  12. Thanks for your thoughts.... He's 23 so it's just an accessory for him at this point in his life. But I will look at other brands; he hasn't asked for much else for Xmas!
  13. I see there are a wide variety of price points for them... Would they be any cheaper to buy them onboard then on Amazon Black Friday sale?( thru Invicta store on Amazon) We sail the Beyond next Friday. Amazon has the Pro Automatic Stainless at $69, regularly $120. I don't see it any cheaper anywhere else online.
  14. No, it was mentioned that HOU/IAH people said "never again"--I guess i thought they were referring to the airports not the port. Sailed Ruby in March...arrived 1045 & was onboard before 11--easiest embarkation ANYWHERE. We sail the NCL Prima from Galveston next month so I guess we can compare then!
  15. I flew into HOU in March with no issues & have connected there before--why are they saying "never again"?
  16. A cruise line has the option to pay a fee (fairly substantial I'm sure) to allow customers to use their drink packages while in TX waters. CCL (who owns Princess, along with Holland & Costa) choose not to pay this. Clearly it is cheaper for them to toss everyone w/ a drink package a $25 credit than to pay the fee. So RCCL & NCL have chosen to pay the fee, which is why there is a difference.
  17. If a steak is properly rested, the juices redistribute & you should get very little juice on the plate, but a very moist steak.
  18. Well nuts...get back from a month on the Regal May 4...was starting to think I should maybe cancel this one...I'm always looking for an excuse NOT to cancel!!!🤣
  19. Been on 5 Princess cruises in the last 18 mos. On those she always has the black wig on when she is in her pirate gear, and the red wig the rest of the time.
  20. Seriously it has GOT to be the same soundtrack across the fleet based on your observations. And it seems to play the same songs at the same time everyday....
  21. HA--I was at that game w/ DD! (my 1st NHL--had a blast) We were in Moxies for dinner b4 game & guy with us was wearing a Turco jersey. Turco walks up, introduces himself, chats us up. Friends ask for pic & he even waits for bar to find us a sharpie so he can sign the jersey. Class act.
