Interesting...I've never seen this set up. What you see in the balcony video is typical of most Princess rooms across the fleet (including all the interiors we have sailed). You will find in your balcony to have a LARGE closet area if a bit less shelving. Interesting those folks didn't like it...we love it. It creates a "dressing room"; plus on most other lines, there is VERY little space between the bed & the closet & I hate that! Yes, with 2, occasionally we have to jockey if one is in the closet area & one is in the bathroom or wants in...but we figure it out!

I downloaded the app Weds eve & sent our etrade screenshots (just used "Fidelity" option). Thurs AM they already emailed me as they needed 1 more screenshot...of course Etrade is being fussy & not letting me back in; need to call. But I am impressed with their promptness!

It was booked via CAS but we have been offered Move Up on other CAS bookings. Others on the Roll Call say they were offered Move Up. But not us--no email, doesn't show up online. It's on the app but nothing happens when I tap it. We are in an Oceanview on the Prima (it's actually a balcony...not sure why it is categorized OV, but anyway...) Anyone know why?

That's what we have. SUPER easy & free. You send in a screenshot of your 100 shares to get the OBC.

This is where we differ (the beauty of life is our differences!) I have sat on a number of balconies---covered, walls on side, fresh air, nice area to sit--and thought, huh, really not different than our IV. BUT we are not huge balcony people--we always like the IDEA, but find we really do not use it as much as we think we will. (we just aren't in the room much more than sleeping & showering) NOW, the one potential major issue w/ IV is the loud mechanism for opening it. I am the late sleeper--if DH wanted to go on the balcony b4 I woke, THAT would not work! (I keep HOPING this IV hatred will bring down prices on IVs on my beloved Eclass...alas, it just doesn't seem to do that!)

You would get access to Blu/Luminae/Lounge if you got an upgrade to that class. But if you had booked a Cruise Only reservation, you would NOT get wifi, drinks & possibly tips.

This is why we travel w/ an LED "candle" for bathrooms--just enough light, while not disturbing anyone. Thanks for the TR--we are on the Prima in January. Didn't hit Syd Norman's? I'm a bit of a Syd's junky.... Did you notice how early folks are lining up to get in for Syd shows? (30-60 min on Breakaway & Getaway)

FYI...porthole balconies are so narrow you cannot face the chairs forward, only sideways toward each other. It's a fully covered, mostly enclosed balcony--just curious, how is that different than an IV w/ the window down? (again, just curious; I am ambivalent about IV cabins...)

I didn't notice the 10 coin machines on the Equinox a year ago--has that changed? (video poker is the only machine game I play--and I hate the 10 play machines on Princess)

Yes, I recall when this "mini world tour" opened up a lot of people were looking at B2B...or B2B2B...or B2B2B2B! (as were we!) So I'm not suprised with the numbers. Bummer you can't keep anything on hangars--when we did B2B on Edge 2 years ago we could. I suspect the shear numbers have that one changed. Great TR--thoroughly enjoying!!

Yep, when I click on it, they all say expired, greyed out, except the one that says pending (also greyed out).

Completely unable to do another bid; when I go to my reservation & click on the Upgrade box, nothing.

All but one say "expired" & it says "pending" I assume this means we got the bid for that room, but does it usually take this long to go through?

Captains--Captain Kate was the most visible captain I've experienced in about 40 cruises, and SO personable; a true hostess. Captains Tasos & Dimitrios are a hoot! Other than that the only memorable on had his motorcycle ON BOARD!!🤣--personable guy too. Glad to see Captain Matt & Giuseppe have a great relationship--fun to see! BUT CDs--I have seen how a CD can break a cruise. About 10 yrs ago we were on the Mariner of the Seas. The CD was a pompous *$$. He seemed to like to hear himself talk. Would show up to sing the first karaoke song...then pop off to let his assistant run things. He ran NOTHING...simply did the intro & ran off. His poor assistant was run ragged. Luckily all our other CDs over the years have beed very good to excellent. (when I saw @Norwaylady mention Giuseppe, I thought it was our CD from the Beyond--I think!--in April. But, different guy!)

Well, went ahead & put a hold on an IV--still a pretty decent price (admittedly I wish we had gotten a suite at your price!!

I am the 3rd class of IV opinions: ambivalent. But we are pretty much that way about balconies in general! IF you do book OV on Edge class--there are THREE different types of windows depending on the category. Smaller window (larger than porthole), Medium window & then the top category is basically an IV that doesn't open--the extra space for chairs & floor to ceiling windows. It appears we won our upgrade from INT to OV on Beyond next month...will be curious which one we get! Very much enjoying your TR...We had seriously looked at this B2B2B2B. Various circumstances said not this year...living vicariously thru u!

I purchased a couple excursions in Sept. & have the email confirmation. But they are not showing up online. Anyone had this happen before? Should I call or will my email confirmation suffice?

None of the ship excursions excite us & the ones on Viator, the times don't work well. Is there a port area to walk around? Not sure what to do & looking for options. Beaches are OK; DH won't do ATVs or Zipline. We have walked up to a waterfall in Hawaii--Dominica seems to have waterfalls & hot springs. Best way to see? Thanks!
