  1. Ok looking to use this to upgrade our Interior to OV for our Med cruise this summer. Will I still be able to do an upgrade bid as well?
  2. OMG almost the same band as last August. SUCH amazing female vocalists! (different male vocalists than on my cruise) And the guitarist is the BEST I have seen on any cruise! (maybe anywhere!) SOOOO wish they were still going to be on in August.
  3. Hailee is THE BEST--we got to know each other a bit last August on the Getaway.
  4. Gotta be...hit them & hold in that order & a little bullseye shows up. Move it to where you want it, pull the lower right corner to cover the area you want to screenshoot, then let go & it should be on your desktop.
  5. I was on the Divina last month for 12 days (5+7) & saw no tuxes but a wide variety of things worn to dinner from casual (no shorts at dinner tho--saw some turned away) to quite dressy including suits & cocktail dresses.
  6. In the MDR for dinner? (breakfast/lunch r more casual) I will say I did find our Alaska cruise MUCH more casual than any other cruise we have taken...)
  7. Fine everywhere except MDR & specialty. Change those shorts to slacks & you are good anywhere.
  8. I'm sure they would--a tip at the beginning of the cruise would help. I will say it may depend on how full your ship is tho. We have sailed Caribbean, Discovery & Sapphire since July. On the Sapphire our wait staff seemed very very rushed & overwhelmed. So I suggest being flexible.
  9. Mac: Command+ Shift+ 4 Not sure on other models...
  10. I see it under payments (to make) in my account. Bizarre
  11. I have done them on NCL & Celebrity and it was billed separately. I did an upgrade for my March 26th Ruby cruise & won it for $50. I just got a bill today from Princess for $50. Obviously I've been PIF for some time! Is that how Princess does it?
  12. The beauty of this one is that you can come & go as you please, offer it to friends or family when you aren't there.
  13. For every $50K charged, at 3x you are getting over $2K value in points.
  14. While I have not taken a World cruise (BUCKET LIST), we did sail from LA in January on the Carnival Miracle to Hawaii for 2 weeks & I can speak of the "motion of the ocean" In 25 cruises sea sickness had only hit me once in the Caribbean (it hit many that day; not DH). CA was having those big storms & we were getting big waves & winds (otherwise lovely). I tried ginger ale, then bonine, then finally caved & put on a patch. (THANK GOODNESS I had some). I was fine after that. DH has NEVER had seasickness--but publicly getting ill convinced him to put on a patch too. We were both able to function normally then. GET THE PATCH. You may not need it. But you will be thankful you have it if you do. (PS I wore it our first couple cruises but didn't care for the metallic taste...I didn't notice it this time. Perhaps they have improved it in 20 yrs) I have cruised solo on NCL, MSC & Princess. I suspect that a world cruise will even be easier to connect with people as you will become a little community with that much time together! I do recommend dining with others! Have a wonderful time--I am jealous--not sure I will ever convince DH to do it even tho he knows its my bucket list!
  15. May I inquire what each of these cost? Princess wants $2K each for cancel for any reason insurance for 111 day cruise. (not even sure if it has med evac) I got Chase Sapphire Reserve for this purpose but the insurance company they use has been getting poor reviews...
  16. What about a photo on your phone of each prescription, perhaps with the pill beside it for reference?
  17. Question...I have been lurking World Cruises for a while. Definitely my bucket list. It started last January following 3 couples blogs as they were on Viking. Points Guy put out an interesting article today: https://thepointsguy.com/guide/around-the-world-cruises/ (I wish he had been more thorough & listed what is all included--or not--in each of those price points) My big question is insurance. As we get older (currently 57 & 60--still quite healthy), with aging parents, we rather need to think more about this--ESPECIALLY when one takes a pricey world cruise. I see people mention adding it here. I did a dummy booking on Princess & it was $4K more. It does appear to be cancel for any reason insurance (it said those worlds...). Typically it seems 3rd party insurance is better priced--has anyone used a 3rd party insurance company for world cruise insurance? Curious if you would share the company if you have. Thanks!
  18. You made a good point here. I think many automatically think Carnival is cheaper. We discovered 10 years ago this may not be true; with the all-inclusive pricing of several lines, it is truly worth comparing!
  19. I purchased under the "old" plan... When I open my Travel Summary under my account, it shows the Premium Plus + juice bar, 2 fitness classes & 2 premium desserts. This would indicate to me that everything has been grandfathered in. Can you imagine how confusing it would be to crew if they didn't? Now, I cannot guarantee this, but I will confirm when I embark on the 26th.
  20. If this were a domestic cruise, we would have booked it ourselves--rarely much cheaper, not worth the hassle. But 5 of us to Europe from the midwest for $3000 RT? Hell of a deal even if we get crappy flights. We did do a deviation to come in 2 days prior. I consider that $25 each insurance.
  21. LOL don't I know it--but it is still considered "contemporary" to much of the music I hear on cruises...
  22. Have done Apex & Edge (2x). We tend to eat early (by 6-615) & never seem to wait on any line. I LOVED the production shows on Eclass--big shows, great talent, contemporary music (90s-today), but I can see how some would not.
  23. Ah, pooh. Not much different than a covered verandah, imo. I say try it--you may like it (does seem to be a love/hate relationship...)
  24. Thx for your review. We have cruised Princess & Celebrity more than any other lines. I agree with Crown Grill--tried it some years ago & felt MDR was better. Funny, I find Princess desserts to be the best of any line (overall). Yes, I prefer the "island" set up on Celebrity to the rows of most other lines, but it is neither here nor there. We really only use apps to look at the daily schedule tho I hate how Princess does the up & dow as well as side to side--too easy to miss things. I just take a quick pic of the daily activities. Celebrities is much easier to navigate.
