I have this from our January 2020 cruise.  Prices most likely have not changed much. Its not digital but is the same as the excursions offered on the itinerary for the promotion.  If you look there and tell me what is your interest, i can look up the cost.

Thanks for responding. Should there have been a link or attachment?

  2. Wasn’t there a rumour about Crooners being added? Having sailed on Sky Princess multiple times, seating in the Piazza area - all floors - for drinks in the evening is lacking. My hope is that they somehow commandeer part of the photo gallery to add more seating / Crooners. In my opinion, its location and size on Sky Princess is using up too much valuable real estate.

  3. Just checked for our June booking on Sky Princess, clicked the upgrade pic and still getting the message about it not being offered in my region. Perhaps currently it’s by invitation only on certain cruises. Will keep checking. Not to upgrade but just intrigued as to what the options might be.

And they will find them, no doubt.

The real question is how many people will accept this as normal before they leave for other cruise lines.

Please name another cruise line - other than the higher end luxury lines - that doesn’t already charge extra for the things Princess is starting to charge for.

Found this elsewhere - ala carte pricing:

    Thanks for sharing.

Looks good to me and not unreasonable prices. It will of course fail as all of Princess’s new concepts usually do. Long time Princess cruisers yearn for the good old days and expect everything to be included in the fare they paid 20 years ago or will only eat at Crown Grill for that classic US steakhouse (i.e. unadventurous) experience. I will look forward to trying it on Sun Princess as unfortunately won’t have chance to sail on Enchanted Princess in the foreseeable future.

We booked the same cruise & there were no offers here in the US either. Our TA attempted to get group space but none was available on this very popular itinerary. I only checked interior & obstructed view cabins and very few were available even before opening bookings to non Elite level passengers on 4/5.

Glad we managed to bag a bargain yesterday by booking Brisbane to Brisbane. Having looked again this morning, we appear to have saved almost £3,000 overall. It’s a bucket list cruise for us too.

Hoping the Crown Princess is given a slight makeover before she goes Down Under ready for the season and for the subsequent world cruise.

  7. Just booked the Australia circumnavigation out of Brisbane on 17 March 2025. Strangely the same cruise starting and ending in Sydney was significantly more expensive. Think we saved £2,000 overall on a mini suite by sailing from Brisbane instead of Sydney. Choice of rooms was more restrictive though. Very strange indeed. It’s a cruise we’ve always wanted to do but it seems to sell out far in advance hence why we’ve booked now. Disappointed to see there were no offers though - at least in the U.K.

Thanks @snoozecrooze for posting the link and the summary. Will watch the video later.

Only comment I have is I certainly hope they have a different menu in the Signature restaurant. I imagine if there isn’t, there will be uproar especially as it makes the new Princess suite experience less competitive compared to other lines.

At around 12 minutes 35 seconds in this video https://youtu.be/w1lqSq7tn-g (which covers the recent ship tour in Fincantieri), there is mention of whether the Signature & Reserve restaurants will have a different menu. Seemingly the Princess Execs wouldn’t commit to whether they would be different. Hopefully not a bad omen.

  9. Think the recent fall is due to the earnings call for another line recently which wasn’t great. Believe it was Norwegian but not 100%. Carnival’s earnings are tomorrow so will be interesting to see how it plays out. Obviously the current banking crisis et al isn’t helping.

  11. Interesting to read comments about the Princess speciality dining options. I’m not sure it’s Princess’s fault that Crown Grill and Sabatini’s remain the only consistent staples. It seems every new concept Princess introduces is received with derision by the loyalists so perhaps they’ve given up trying. You only have to see how Crown Grill is packed every night to understand where Princess’s passengers food preferences lie.

  12. We’re also on the TA. Looking forward to our first suite experience as we’ve booked a Penthouse Suite. Our first TA too hence why we’ve booked the suite as, with the number of sea days, wanted somewhere to relax away from the crowds. Will be interesting to see whether Princess ups the ante on their suite offering especially around the food in the Signature dining room. Here’s hoping it’s not just the same menu as the MDR 🤣 We’ll be keeping an eye on the reviews of earlier cruises to ensure it’s worth the money before paying the final balance.

  13. The attached was originally posted to Cruise Deck Plans when the ship was announced. It was quickly replaced by the anonymised one similar to what is on the Princess website. Unfortunately CC isn’t uploading this in high resolution. I expect a lot of the venues / information are still missing from this, e.g. pool deck food etc.

  14. Unpopular opinion but I think it’s looking good. Princess needs to innovate whilst not forgetting its roots and Sun Princess appears to do just that.

Looking forward to sailing our first ever transatlantic in our first ever suite with Princess. I’ll wait until we sail on the ship before passing judgement from the little information we currently have available.

  15. It seems a selection of new pictures have been added to the Princess website under Sun Princess. Looks good. There is also more detail on the various venues on the deck plans albeit names only listed rather than actual detail on the plans.
