You and I are alike in some ways . If something interests us we’re all in . Back in the day when my husband was working and pre-pandemic when shuttles were plentiful to some of the 8 casinos near my home , I thought , I would figure out how to beat the odds . I bought books , subscribed to Strictly Slots magazine and watched this guy Curtis on TV. Sadly, it didn’t work . I no longer put cash in the one arm bandit .

I will checkout Tom’s guide . I don’t have your patience to do all that research. I hope , you are soon watching your favorite programs on your dream TV . Thank you for your help.

I’m so appreciative for your long reply and the time it took for you to do this for me. I’m going to check out CNET . We have one week left to back out of our contract with Direct TV so we will be buying a new TV this weekend. Thank you for your help . Judy

It has been discussed before at length however I can’t find it so any help here would be appreciated. I’m not looking for in depth replies just basic info of what to look for in buying a streaming TV. We are not into complicated technology and gaming . Just basic stuff. We’ve been watching our 36” not smart TV but have to switch because that is what Direct TV is using . Thank you .

@Jimbo I like your attitude. @cruiselvr04 I think it’s called Swedish death cleaning . My friend told me she was doing that . How morbid! @firefly333 My neighbors moved in and I never saw a truck . We don’t see them at all . Never ! We alerted our neighbors on our cul de sac that we were coming with a large moving van that took a day to unload. Allied had 5 men to load and only 2 to unload. We told them they needed more men which they got .

Your photos are always spectacular. We enjoyed our one day in Victoria. My husband’s comment was : “ This would be a nice place to live” .

I like Annie Hall. I’ve watched Last Year at Marienbad more than once and I still don’t get it . We visited Marienbad and that explains the interest . If anyone understands that film please share 🎥🎬🎞️

How are your plans coming along for New York City ? It’s the same for the Chrysler building . I was stopped from entering. If you are ever in LA the Bradbury building lobby is very interesting. I was , again, stopped from going in . I saw the interior on a Perry Mason episode. Perhaps, you can talk your way into taking a look in these off limit lobbies.

We liked the Hilton . When we were there there was a lake with ducks . The fish and chips were delicious. I had them every day . There was a cricket field with bleachers outside our sliding door and we watched one game . The problem was the location. The foreign ( from India ) taxi drivers charged us twice what the local driver charged us . I’m very fussy about hotels and this one was nice except for the taxis .

We took the National Express bus from Heathrow to Southampton. We boarded the bus at our arrival terminal in a shaded area with seating. There were taxis waiting at the Southampton bus terminal. I made the mistake, or maybe not, of booking a Hilton that was not too close to city center. One day , we took the bus to Winchester.

@dani negreanu Dani , we are all thinking about you , your family and your friends. I hope, your son has found a shelter where he can be safe . We are watching the news and what is happening over Jerusalem. I can’t imagine what that must be like . Sending our prayers to Jack’s Israeli family.

My husband visited Long Beach on business quite a few times before we moved to Santa Clarita in 2006 . I would go with him often . We cruised out of San Pedro in 2023 and believe me or not you are going to be bored staying in San Pedro . The Tiki bar Dave referenced is within walking distance of the Long Beach Westin which @Jimbo has also mentioned. Laguna Beach is very nice and with a rental car should not be a problem. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton . This October , we are staying one night at the Crowne Plaza . Last year , we stayed at the Doubletree. It’s because , we’ve been there , done that. I’m sure , you have your itinerary planned and know what you want to do.

Really , if I remember correctly you wanted out of CA . I must be mistaken. The LA freeways are not the German autobahn . Be careful !

Eclipse started about half hour ago . The peak will occur at 11:11 AM . No one out looking so blazée . We have friends on Holland America off the coast of Mazatlan continuing on to Hawaii and Vancouver.

The bottle almost looks Scandinavian. I’m not a fan of realty shows . I think they are scripted otherwise boring unless you’re a Larry David . Who pays whom on those shows. I’ve already mentioned that I spoke with the dad of one contestant on the Apprentice and he told me it is not what it appears to be. His daughter must have signed a non disclosure agreement. I didn’t get it , either. I googled it and found it on Reddit. In defense of HBE4 and myself, it was a little obtuse. Anyway, I was wondering about you since it had been a few days since you had posted anything. I know , you wouldn’t just leave without saying goodbye like some have done.

We have earthquake insurance on our house in Southern California. They can expect aftershocks in the Northeast. Dani , I hope you are feeling better.
