  1. Hi Paul, Just wanted to thank you again for your wonderful review. Also, the notes you wrote about Taz are exactly like I remember him. I talked to him about his photography also as my Dad was a professional photographer & I grew up in front of a camera! He was just so nice to talk to & always had that wonderful smile.

Did he happen to say where he will be after Edge? We sail on Reflection next March, so was maybe hoping he'd be on her.

Again, thanks so much for spending so much of your time filling us all in on your travels. Take care & maybe one day we'll meet in person.

  2. Have you tried the Chocolate Martini? Have Taz make it for you! Please tell him hello from the OConnor's.

I did tell him hello and he remembered you! He said to say hello back! I’ll post a pic from sunset bar tomorrow with him.

Oh, thank you so much. We just thought he was the greatest, plus he bought us our last martini on the last night of that cruise. Thanks again & look forward to your pictures. I too have pictures of him!

Looking forward to more of your review. Have fun!

  3. Loving you review & your pictures, especially the one of the bar tender, Taz! He was our server at the Martini Bar on Silhouette & we never forgot him. Was hoping he would be on Reflection nx March, but guess not. If you see him again please tell him the OConnor's said hello & we missed him on Silhouette the last time we sailed on her.

Looking forward to more of your review. Have fun & Happy Anniversary! :D

  4. If the OBC isn't thru the cruise line, it won't show until you've boarded the ship...usually day 2. If you want to book now, you'll have to pay for it.

If the OBC IS thru the ship, then call and book it on the phone and get them to apply it....if they will.

I may try to call but just want to make sure I will get the same rate that's showing on the website. The OBC is from the cruise line (RCI).

  5. This is one of my favourite ever reviews for a number of reasons. I was born in Kilkenny, raised in Waterford and live in Donegal, so to see places I know well through the eyes of a visitor is a real pleasure.

My surname is Kavanagh, Caomhánach in Irish, which means "of Kevin". The was initially a nickname given to Diarmuid Mc Murrough's son Art, because he had been sent to Glendalough to study under St Kevin. Essentially, the name indicated he was Art Mc Murrough, the pupil of Kevin. Seeing the pictures of Strongbow's tomb (Art's brother in law) followed by the pictures of Glendalough was lovely.

Then, the picture of the motorway junction outside Dublin - I was caught in traffic on that overpass yesterday as I drove from Waterford to Donegal.

Rarely has a review on CC spoken to me so much of home!

A really well written review as always, Claudio, and I'm glad you enjoyed your time here.

One point re : Holyhead, any fans of 1960s TV may remember a TV series called 'The Prisoner'. It was quite weird and starred Patrick Mc Goohan, probably best known for its opening dialogue "Who is Number 1?" "You are Number 6". "I am not a number, I am a free man". It was filmed in a village called Portmeiron which is just over an hour away from Holyhead, and a fascinating place to visit.

Sorry to jump in here, but just wondering where in Donegal you are? Our family is in Lettekenny, Ramelton, & my mother inlaw is from Carrigart. Love Donegal !
