LOVING your pictures of my favorite place in the world, Ireland! Glad you had good weather!
-
I too would like to know if there's a server named "Taz" at the Martini Bar. He's from Turkey, great server with a beautiful smile !
-
Thanks again for checking on drink prices being the same on Oasis. Am going to wait to see if the drink pkg. goes to $42. over Labor Day & then we may book it ! Have fun on your last day & drink up!
-
IrishLassie the drink pkg. was at $42 + gratuities during July 4 promo...watch again Labor Day for it! Usually goes low on holiday promos!

Thanks, I will keep checking! Hoping for $42. LOL

Thanks for checking with the servers about the drink prices. Also, hope they have those "sticky buns" on Oasis, that's just how I like them !
-
I think you can do better. We are prime time on a Harmony. I think you may get $45 or $42 even. Keep checking. On the ship it was $63

Thanks for the info, but I wanted to know if the individual drinks would be the same on Oasis?

Glad you got to spend your Anniversary at Bacardi ! Sounds like it was fun, and Happy 25th.
Do you think that the drink prices would be the same on Oasis?

Thanks everyone for all this info. Hoping this doesn't happen, but just in case I wanted to know what to tell them & know what to expect. Thanks again, it's been very helpful. Thank heavens for CC !

Hey Wendy, thank you for following along and your kind words.
There's a few readers here on CC who have read some of my reviews, and for the most part there's been only a couple parts of the world where I specifically mentioned that a cruise did not do the country nor the site seeing justice, and now Scotland + Ireland is one of those areas. I now know I definitely need to go back.... 1 week driving around Scotland, and then another week driving around Ireland (Gallway, Cliffs of Moher, Belfast/northern Ireland/ Cork/Blarney, Ring of Kerry, Limerick... places all missed in Ireland on this cruise).
If you ever do get the chance to do a self driving tour on your own, you may need more than 1 week in Ireland! When you get out of the bigger cities, the roads are narrow & curvy, so it takes more time to get from one place to another! LOL Also, don't forget to go up to Co. Donegal & tour around the coast, it's BEAUTIFUL !

No...No one will ask or care when you check in at the terminal and when you board. The taxes/port fees refund will just be automatically refunded... Last March (2017) we ended up having 3 no shows among the four cabins I had booked on Harmony.
Another question, do the taxes/port fees go back on the card that was used to book the cruise or on the card that the person is using for on board purchases? (the person that shows up)
-
Absolutely no reason to share this with your TA....You will receive the port fees and taxes as a credit back to the credit card that was used. We have had no shows...no one asks no one cares.
Oh thanks so much. Do we need to give a reason for the no show, if this happens??
-
No extra for a "no show" any port taxes would be refunded as well.
Thanks for this info. I think this would be the best option, if this happens, but not sure if I should let my TA know?? It comes out to be about the same price for a single & if we got the port taxes back, that's a plus! :D
Any body else have any thoughts on this option?
-
Thanks for the info. If it's a "no show" will they have to pay any extra at check-in?
-
If it's before final payment, the existing cruiser will need to "make up the difference". If it's AFTER final payment (no refund period) that cancelling person loses their money and you will have a cabin all to yourself!
If you have insurance, does this still apply?
-
If you had to cancel a person that is booked with another in a cabin, what happens??
-

Following along but didn't get in for the contest!
Loved the picture of your cat, so cute. We are cat people, but your dog is cute too!
Have a great 25th. Anniversary!

Loved your picture of Edinburgh Castle. When we were there we actually found my DH's relative in the book that lists service men killed in WW1. He was actually from Ireland & was the 1st. Irishman to die in that war. We loved Edinburgh & all the history. Look forward to more of your review.

katmu, BEAUTIFUL dress & what a bargain! I'm sure you'll look great in it. I would wear silver with it, just a suggestion. :D
-
Hang tight IrishLassie... I'd love to hear your feedback on my two days in Dublin when I get there :D
Will do! Been there many times as my DH's family is from Co. Donegal & we have good friends in Dublin. Looking forward to your pictures. One thing, be careful of "pick pockets" in Dublin!! Enjoy!

WOW, loving your review & your pictures are great. Can't wait for more! :D

It's not "false advertising" at all. The on board price is $60 plus 18%. 25% of $60 is $45. So you buy one get one 50% off is 25% off each and the price shown reflects that discount averaged between 2 people. The reason that they don't advertise 25% off is because if someone only buys one, say a solo cruiser, they will not get the discount. If you only buy one plus a soda package for the other person, something that seems possible if you call them, you won't get the discount. So, it's actually NOT false advertising, but accurate advertising.
Thanks for this info. I do understand, but they need to tell you on their website that it's the price when you book online because if you didn't know what the "on board" cost was, you wouldn't realize that it's higher. I think they just need to word it different.
Also, can you purchase just one drink pkg.(alcohol) ? I thought both people in the cabin had to purchase it.
-
I don't think I was ever able to find any when I was researching. Do you have any specific questions? I didn't take any pictures but just got off Oasis today.
Thank you. Just wondering about the cost of the beers, martini's & cocktails. We're trying to figure out if it's worth it to get the drink pkg.

Anybody have pictures of the drink menu's on Oasis? I tried to find them but couldn't find any! Thanks for any info.

Thanks for the heads up on the "savory bites"! They are my favorite & our last cruise on Oasis last Sept. they said they didn't do them any more! I will ask for them again when we go in Oct.
