  1. I think you can do better. We are prime time on a Harmony. I think you may get $45 or $42 even. Keep checking. On the ship it was $63

Thanks for the info, but I wanted to know if the individual drinks would be the same on Oasis?

I do keep checking the drink pkg. as of yesterday it was still $48. hoping it will go to $42. then we may get it.

  2. Hey Wendy, thank you for following along and your kind words.

There's a few readers here on CC who have read some of my reviews, and for the most part there's been only a couple parts of the world where I specifically mentioned that a cruise did not do the country nor the site seeing justice, and now Scotland + Ireland is one of those areas. I now know I definitely need to go back.... 1 week driving around Scotland, and then another week driving around Ireland (Gallway, Cliffs of Moher, Belfast/northern Ireland/ Cork/Blarney, Ring of Kerry, Limerick... places all missed in Ireland on this cruise).

If you ever do get the chance to do a self driving tour on your own, you may need more than 1 week in Ireland! When you get out of the bigger cities, the roads are narrow & curvy, so it takes more time to get from one place to another! LOL Also, don't forget to go up to Co. Donegal & tour around the coast, it's BEAUTIFUL !

  3. No...No one will ask or care when you check in at the terminal and when you board. The taxes/port fees refund will just be automatically refunded... Last March (2017) we ended up having 3 no shows among the four cabins I had booked on Harmony.

Another question, do the taxes/port fees go back on the card that was used to book the cruise or on the card that the person is using for on board purchases? (the person that shows up)

  4. It's not "false advertising" at all. The on board price is $60 plus 18%. 25% of $60 is $45. So you buy one get one 50% off is 25% off each and the price shown reflects that discount averaged between 2 people. The reason that they don't advertise 25% off is because if someone only buys one, say a solo cruiser, they will not get the discount. If you only buy one plus a soda package for the other person, something that seems possible if you call them, you won't get the discount. So, it's actually NOT false advertising, but accurate advertising.

Thanks for this info. I do understand, but they need to tell you on their website that it's the price when you book online because if you didn't know what the "on board" cost was, you wouldn't realize that it's higher. I think they just need to word it different.

Also, can you purchase just one drink pkg.(alcohol) ? I thought both people in the cabin had to purchase it.
