  1. We just booked the "relax on the beach snorkel package" for our day at mahogany bay. We are a family of three and the package admits it only buys entrance for two. I'm sure you all are aware that this package includes round trips on the chair lift, snorkel gear, 2 floats, and 2 chairs covered by a clam shell. Now my wife only plans on laying in the chair while my son and I are out in the water on the floats and snorkeling. Has anyone ever done this package with a family of three? Will it be okay I only brought one set? Or will I have to book another.

When it comes to getting at mahogany bay where do we go? Yes, we will walk over for the first time since there is 3 of us and they'll probably only let 2 on the chair lift but after that will me and my son be able to go back and get on the chair lift or.... all the help I can get is great. I emailed carnival and said it would be 72 hours for response but there is only a few spots remaining to get another package if I need too.

  2. Yes I called told them what I wanted gave them the booking number and paid. I asked where I would get my sticker and she said more than likely the coffee shop but there would be directions in the cabin because it was like I bought it as a gift so it will be waiting for us.

cool, I may have to look into that for our upcoming cruise were they able to email you a confirmation do you know, my only concern is nobody knowing what to do or that I even brought it.

  3. Don't know what line you're with but carnival offers Luggage Express. It's a program for $20 P/P and the last night on board they bring your flight luggage tags and boarding passes to you room. On the last night you set your luggage outside your stateroom and they take it to the airport a check it for you. You won't see or touch your luggage again till your final destination. You only have to worry about carry-ons. Each participant is allowed 2 checked bags. This program however is limited to the flight availability. You get info on the first night on board and have to sign up 3 nights later I believe.

  4. Wait nvm! Found it and booked!

Lucky! I didn't find out about these till this week and sadly all sold out for our sailing. Well... I'm keeping an eye on them to see if one goes up for sail also heard sometimes we can book one on board. What ship, when are you sailing?

  5. Thanks, Green4me, for chiming in-I got busy and had to run. I agree with what you said about the florida aquarium. I love it, just haven't been for a few years. You can eat lunch there too http://www.flaquarium.org. If you would rather meander around Ybor City and have lunch at the Columbia Restaurant for Latin food http://www.columbiarestaurant.com., then there is a streetcar that will take you there http://www.tecolinestreetcar.org. Enjoy!!

But be sure to be at the airport 1 1/2 hours early, it's usually not a problem, but it can pack up on occasion.

Thank you so much! Can't wait to be down there in only 26 days!!!

  6. If you are interetsed in the Florida Aquarium as you noted then I would suggest that for a few reasons. They are so close of a walk you can have a casual breakfast on board and then walk on over. I checked and they open at 9:30am on Easter Sunday and have all sorts of special events like underwater Easter bunny and mermaid shows. You can check it out on their web site for more information.

    Enjoy

    Thank you:)

  7. What are you interested in, how much time do you have, and do you want to walk from the cruise terminal, or are you game for a bus/taxi ride? I live in Tampa and would be glad to offer suggestions based on those things (don't want to tell you about something you don't have time for/interest in)

Hi, lucky you to live in Tampa this snow in Maryland is getting old :) anyways, I know there is an aquarium right next to the port so that is of interest. We all like city life so maybe just walking/shopping downtown (we plan to get luggage express so we won't have to carry any luggage). Our flight is a 2:25 flight out of TPA. We have FTTF and we could be off the boat as early as 8-9AM if we have something we want to do. With your experience living in the area and possibly flying in and out of TPA what time do you recommend we be at the airport by? Another important piece of info, debarkation day is easter, so any suggestions based on all this, open to all suggestions! Thanks for you help and insight.

  8. Yeah, I was looking into buying the "relax on the beach" package if we can't get a cabana. That package includes a reserved clam shell and it only buys entrance for two, we are a family of three so I emailed Carnival asking if it would be okay with us buying two. I am conceded a little because it's spring break and there are two ships in port, legend and glory. Combined that would be around 6,300 people.. did it look like there were enough spots to accommodate mass amounts of people like that?
