We will be in Mahogany Bay in April and I was wondering what everyone's opinions were on the cabanas. I looked at the port schedule and the Legend and the Glory will be docked there that day with a combined total (at full capacity, which is likely because of spring break) of 6,300 people. This is why I am looking to book a cabana. Sadly as of right now all of them are sold out, has anyone had any luck with them coming back on for sale?

I would love to get a cabana at the beach but sadly for our sailing they're all sold out, has anyone had any luck with them opening up maybe because of a cancellation we are 29 days out.

We will be docked in Mahogany Bay in April, with I believe one other ship. I looked at the "Relax on the beach package" I love the idea but it only buys admission for two. We're a family of three. Has anyone had any trouble with buying two tickets and only having three people? What's everyone's opinions? Is it hard to get a good chair at the beach when two ships are in port? Also if I go with the excursion can you put down the clam shell? or can we choose an open seat?

Are you sailing April 13? We are on the Glory that week and we are in port with the Legend at every port.
Yes we're sailing April 13th, I noticed as well the Glory will be with us at all ports.

That would be my guess and I wouldn't care as long as I'm cruis'n.:D
Hope you have a great cruise!:D
Oh trust me I don't care! This is our second cruise and new to all the ports can't wait!!!! Thanks!

We will be cruising on the Legend in April and I noticed the typical 7 day cruise on the Legend goes like this: Tampa-sea-cozumel-belize-mahogoany bay-GC-sea-Tampa. However our cruise goes: Tampa-sea-GC-cozumel-belize-mahogany bay-sea-Tampa.
Does anyone know the reason for this seemingly to be the only cruise doing GC first instead of Cozumel wondering the reason behind it?!?!

Okay, we just upgraded today, we were told if we paid $28 we would be upgraded to an extended balcony and receive $160 OBC. All those things took place, however the Carnival rep did not explain the conditions of the $160 OBC..
Looking through all my documents I discover the OBC can only be used for shore excursions okay..... This credit can not be used to reserve excursions online and can only be used on board at the desk.
We already booked one online so we wanted to cancel that one and get the refund then just re-book on board. When I go to the page to modify the excursion to cancel it, the site won't let me continue on, I go to click confirm changes and nothing happens. I tried it on both mac an PC, I think it's a site issue. Has anyone experienced this and how to fix it?

I noticed there was a price drop on our cruise! We cruise in April out of Tampa on the Legend. we originally booked a balcony aft port 6252. I today noticed there was a $210 price drop in a cruise. I then called carnival and they wouldn't give me OBC for the reason I didn't purchase the guarentee thing (which I wasn't aware of!) I asked about an extended balcony because as of right now it's cheaper than our balcony! The deal ended up being... Pay $28 dollars and be upgraded to an extended balcony and receive $180 OBC, don't no where the $28 came from by hey good deal to me!
We originally booked 6252, however about 3 months ago it was changed for no reason and we had to change it back because we didn't want an upper bed we wanted the sofa. However since there is only 3 of us we are now booked in a quad and we'll have a choice of bedding now, excuse me my son will have the choice.

If you land in Tpa @ 8am, TGI Fridays is open for a sitdown breakfast. They have an area to put your bags out of the way. You could enjoy a breakfast then grab a taxi and get to the port around 10:45. If you get there too early you will have to contend with passengers debarking and it can be a mess.
TGI Fridays is over on Landside. Here is a link to the TPA restaurants and hours. http://www.tampaairport.com/shops/
Have fun. :)
.
Thank you very much :)

Cruising on the Legend in April out of tampa, flying in to Tampa at 8AM. We have been out of Port of Baltimore before and the porters have been there right when we pulled in to park, a few question we also have FFTF if that helps.
1. Is getting a cab at TPA to Port of Tampa easy?
2. Where does the taxi drop you off? Are the porters right there? Is where to go and what to do pretty obvious or is the terminal confusing?
3. How is embarking from Tampa.
Any info on the Legend, tampa, embarkation, and debarkation would help.
Also does Legend offer luggage express.

Sorta off topic but with the bottomless bubbles program do they now give you a reusable cup or glass?

Hi, I have a few questions to start of to relieve one question, we are sailing on the Carnival Legend western Itinerary.
How loose can you get with the elegant night dress code?
Also how does the lido buffet food compare to the night menu in the MDR also do they offer WCMC on the buffet at night?
How is the steakhouse? Worth it? Almost feels like you're paying for a meal you already paid for?

You would have to:
1. scan the fun times onto a jpeg. computer file
2. create a photo bucket account
3. upload the scanned fun times to photo bucket
4. retrieve the URL for EACH photo from photo bucket.
5. create a new post on this thread.
6. Copy and paste the photo URL given by photo bucket into the box that appears when making a post which is the yellow button with a yellow sky and mountains. This button is the 5th button from the right, bottom row.
7. Done
Hope this helps would love to see them sailing in 39 days!

I'm going to bump this cause I know someone has to know :D
-
Thanks very much for the photos! Can't wait to see more and see it with my own eyes in 40 days!
-
Okay so I've been wondering this for a while sometimes I hear it is offered and other times I don't... So anyone off the Legend recently did they offer luggage express? Thanks in advance.
-
When we were on our Carnival pride cruise in 2011 a Galley tour was an actual event for free. It was listed in the "fun times" and I believe was on the last sea day don't know if they still offer it.

Was cherry on the top open? How were the rooms and overall ship look? Did you notice if the ship still had the sail and sign kiosk? 6 weeks from today for us hoping it will fly by!
-
We sail tomorrow and I will post pictures not sure a review will come but pictures at least.
I look forward to that! Enjoy your cruise!
There are reviews of the first cruise after dry dock on other sites. They're the same as you've heard here- not good. Mostly due to upgrades being incomplete and construction mess. A person on our roll call asked John H directly on his FB page if all of the upgrades were indeed operational now and he confirmed that they ARE all open. The second group of cruisers will get back tomorrow and maybe we'll see something in the next couple of days. I sure hope their experience was better. Shame on carnival for sailing when the ship wasn't ready. What a disappointment for those folks.

Maybe we will see something what other sights are you talking about?

Still have not heard much on the Legend since out of dry dock last week. Figured people may be home by now and may have some pictures and reviews to share, anyone? We sail in April!
-
I've read somewhere on CC that the deadline was one week before sailing but call Bon Voyage and see! Good luck and have a great cruise!

Thanks for the info!

Just to clear my mind all you need when you arrive at the port is the boarding pass and the passports correct? or do we need something else or something that will come in handy?
