10 June  - 4 July  ( APPROX ) Sydney to California via South Pacific (one cruise )

Voyager based in San Francisco or Los Angeles

Then possibly move to South America for the Summer in that region. Royal has asked about cruises from South America in recent surveys.

Oh wow, too bad they're late on getting to SA. We gave up waiting and we're going with Princess in January. That would have been a wonderful way to rack up some serious points!

    Catalina would be fun, too!

RCCL announces their deployment release schedule in advance, letting you know the week various itineraries are released. The actual day the itineraries are released they'll also include the date they are available for booking and Crown & Anchor members have exclusive access to book beginning one day prior to that; the announced day is the day they open to everyone.

Keep in mind that basically anyone who has ever been on at least 1 Royal Caribbean cruise (or has a matchable status on Celebrity or Azamara) is a Crown & Anchor member. I forget now what they say... 11 million members, or is it 14 million? Still it doesn't really narrow it down much. 🙂

I have NEVER been notified by RCCL in advance the day before. For a couple new ships, when I KNEW that the itineraries had been released to C&A members the day before, when I called RCCL and told them I wanted to book I was even told that "RCCL has no such ship". 😂 Only after insisting that yes, there is such a ship and it's open for bookings, did they look into it and realize I was right. I rely on CC for my up to date news!

  3. While looking up a certain cruise schedule web site that was mentioned on the 2021-2022 thread, quite by accident I discovered that Odyssey is supposed to be in St Maarten on Oct 30, 2020. This must be part of the TA, as there are no other appearance in Sep, Oct, or Nov 2020. And again on Dec 30, Jan 27, Feb 23, and Mar 24.

We booked the Ovation Singapore to Tokyo and Tokyo to Seattle B2B for spring 2021. We already had Celebrity Millennium B2B booked for Japan and the TP in April 2021.  As a hedge we are going to hang onto that booking until just before final payment. I would hope that any cancelations or changes for the Ovation sailings would be known by then.

These cruises are proving very popular with experienced cruisers.  I know over a hundred people that have booked and the CC threads and social media pages are blowing up.  I think that will negate the “immersion” aspect of the first leg.

One question: if you book a flight with Air2Sea and the cruise is cancelled, will your airfare be refunded?  I think yes but would appreciate confirmation!

I recently cancelled a cruise where airfare was with A2S, and didn’t have to pay a penalty or anything. Definitely looking at A2S for this one!!

LOL....you have clearly never been on a new build or dry dock 2 days before paying passengers board! It is AMAZING the miracles that happen in such a short period of time. Think of ants at the farm and every single one has a special job to do and nothing will stop it....that's what that last 48 hours is like.

You're right, I haven't ever been among the first paying passengers. It's so exciting! I am amazed by everything that goes in to building one of these beautiful ships, and I can't wait to see how all those ants complete their tasks!

    Big sigh.

Um. Ever heard of private messaging?!

Oh well. There they 'possibly' are. I'm  not committing to saying for sure until I see the whites of their eyes!

They'll likely be installed when the ship gets back from its 5-6 day sea trials... unless they've already been loaded on the ship if they're small ( they're all baby pandas?)!

I guess that an ultra-class ship calls for ultra-class mascots. And no, they're apparently not all going in one spot by the SeaPlex. Expect to see them in a few spots on the top deck from what I read.

Jo Smith the UK artist responsible for Ovation's pandas apparently designed these.

So let's wait to see what eventually gets hoisted up on deck...

    lighthousemom???

I started posting something about knowing it must be pandas, and then realized there are already pandas on Ovation. So it couldn't be....guess I was wrong!

So happy there will be lots of little pandas. One can never have too many pandas! 🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼

Looks like timings have changed it is due to arrive day earlier than predicted to Barcelona 17th April then leaves Barcelona 8am 19th April, it will miss out the day at sea and head straight to Rome for the 20th. Passengers will probably still board Spectrum on the 18th as normal

How can we board the ship if Royal doesn't even own it??
