Heidi...me too I couldn't tell you who any of our CDs have been but I saw John's blog on CCL website and popped in...would be interesting tho' if he were our CD...now I might take notice of that one. ;)

Dave...that will be hard to give up your evenings at home once the strike is over. Is there an end in sight yet?

Rene...girl you work more than anyone I know and I so hope you can make this cruise...want to meet you especially after talking these past two cruises with you here...and hope your boyfriend can come too.

Donna...I got a laugh out of your husbands attempt to put up the gazebo and it flew over to the neighbor's yard...tho' probably not funny to him. :rolleyes:

I hope everyone has a really nice three day week-end...especially as we remember our soldiers who gave so much for our country.

We will be horse-sitting for LIsa and Phil as they are all going to Morro Bay this week-end...Phil is from Morro Bay and has family there so will be nice for them. They are taking their new travel trailor and the new dog to introduce her to the family. They really love that dog...and they have only had her a month...but she is a good dog.

It is chilly again here today...boy this has been a strange spring...went from nice to HOT and now this...I really wouldn't mind this weather all summer but I know the heat is on the way. :eek:

Dave...nice picture was this on John's FB page? The Breeze will be about 18 months old when we sail...wonder if John will still be the CD? I read he is getting ready to move to the ship as soon as his cabin is ready.

Heidi...she will still be a very new ship...so maybe the passengers before us will leave her in good shape. :D

Sue...how is the sick calf doing? Been thinking about him poor little guy.

Our weather should be nice for the week-end...tho' it is pretty chilly right now and might get some rain and thunder storms before the day ends. :eek:

Sue...sure hope the calf is going to be okay...that is the hard part of having animals. I know I sure worry about Mocha & Sparky when they get sick...almost like kids.

Heidi...happy that Eric's injury isn't a fracture...but I have heard that a bad sprain can be worse than a fracture...hopefully this won't interfere with his plans for his internship in Vietnam. How is Stacie doing? Last I heard she had to return to college for a summer job...is she in her new apartment yet?

Hello Cupids & Newpids...

You have all been chatty here yesterday...we were out all day and got home a little after 6p...I crashed and napped for about an hour...then watched some TV...American Idol to be exact then off to bed.

WELCOME to all the Newpids this looks like it is going to be a great group...but then I haven't known any Cupids cruise that wasn't full of terrific people. :)

We have a full day again today...so will be back later tonight...Jim is eager to get started and calling me.

Hi Cupids...we are Char & Jim and cruised with Cupids I...tried to cruise with II & III but things happened that caused us to cancel the last two...third time is a charm. :D

Jim and I are retired and have three daughters and seven grandchildren...all girls except for one boy. You should see our house at Christmas...:eek:

Anyway...we are really looking forward to meeting all the newpids coz we LOVE newpids.

Sue...we booked this morning...I called Erin at 6:00 a.m. CA time :eek: to catch her before she got busy...I use to do that with Johna too when I booked or had a question. So looks like we will finally meet...and I am really excited about that coz I feel like I know you and Heidi already too. :)

This will be all new ports for us...AND I am so excited to visit Florida so we will probably go a few days early...no telling when we will get back there again.

Thanx Heidi for the info...cove balconys are of no interest to me. Now the next question is what is the difference between a B and a C balcony./ Looked on the Carnival site but couldn't find a B catagory.

Flick...take a look at this website...I use it all the time before I book a cabin. If you hover the arrow over a cabin it will give you the category. It is easy to read and even easier to flip between decks to see what is above or below. They already have Carnival Breeze deck plans.

I sent Erin an email and she sent me a copy of the insurance so now I just have to go back and compare their policy and some of the others. At insuremytrip I did get prices quoted, it was when I actually clicked to "compare" some of the policies or if I attempted to "buy" (even though I wasn't actually going to buy), that's when I got the message that I was trying to buy too far out. After I get a chance to compare policies (hopefully later today) i will let you know which one of Travel Insured packages the one from Crucon compares too. the one Crucon offers is more of a "custom" pages so it doesn't have a name on like "Trip Protector Lite or Worlwide Trip Protector." I will have to compare.

Heidi...is Erin working today? Doesn't matter tho' because we have a family picnic to go to and will be gone all day...but just wondering.

Hi everyone...

The insurance thingy can be confusing. We always get insurance and usually pay more than we really want to so that it is primary due to some health issues Jim and I have...this time tho' I am going a step farther and getting special evacuation insurance...this is where a medical evacuation company will send a jet or helicopter to pick you us and take us to the hospital of our choice no matter where it is. I have a few companies on line to check out...and the nice thing about this is you don't have to purchase it 14 days after booking...you can purchase most of them as little as 30 days before you leave. This way I sleep at night and don't have to worry while on our cruise. :)

I will be calling Erin on Monday...we have been gone most of the day so I didn't even try today. I will let you know Heidi when I get our booking confirmed. We are excited. :D

I have to agree with this 100%. We missed you on the last cruise.

Thanks Dave...we missed all of you last time too. I will be calling Erin on Monday to book...we will be gone all afternoon today so won't be a good time to talk with her. Jim and I made some changes in our plans for end of next year so we could take this cruise...will be a lot of fun. :D

We have a busy day ahead of us and getting ready to leave soon but wanted to stop by before we left.

Heidi & Sue...I am so eager to meet the two of you so I am going to work very hard to make this cruise work...I am taking our calendars with me today so I can see how to move things around...I was telling Jim last night that we have been chatting with each other now for four years and haven't met yet but we will meet on this cruise...he was amazed that women could do this...so I didn't tell him about all the other cupids that I have been chatting with too...too much for him at once I think. :rolleyes:

I hope everyone has a good day...and I am hoping to contact Erin in a few days. :D

Heidi...I sent you an email...but looks like Jim and I will be able to book this cruise after all...but we need to readjust a few things for end of next year and we are really busy for the rest of May...so early next month we should know for sure...but looks really good. :D

Wish it was in the 70s here. It was 95 for the high and I was walking at the warmest. :( Tomorrow we have a family style picnic go all the union members and their family. We have a band and jump houses. Should be fun. Dave

I just went back and found the post. It was someone else who had a group planned but not a CC group cruise but the poster that Char was talking about, all she said was "I just got my mine entered." I don't know what she means by that. She didn't actually say it was an approved CC group cruise. I also checked her posting history and she only has 19 posts on CC and none are about a group cruise on Feb. 15th, 2014 so she hasn't even started a "possible" thread like we have. I also went over to the group cruise board to see if there was new one listed for that date and there isn't one, not yet anyway. Maybe it's someone else and I missed that post altogether.

Heidi...I think you are right...I didn't go back and look for her but I did check the CC groups and there was nothing there. I have a feeling Laura will approve us there is nothing listed for 2014 yet so maybe she is trying to get 2013 done first...but trust me she will be monitoring this thread to be sure we are serious...and we definately pass that test. LOL

Heidi..I saw somewhere on CC yesterday...don't remember where tho' I was just "lurking" and reading when I saw it...but this person just got her group approved (but not posted yet) and they are cruising on February 15, 2014...but I don't think it is on the Breeze...seems like it is for the Freedom. So maybe ours will get the okay soon...here's hoping.

Will be good to hear if the group will be a go...will be a nice cruise...with a great group of people.

Happy especially to see Kathy and Ed considering the cruise would love to see you guys again. Hope Dot and Dina (and Dina's mother too) can make it too will be like old times. :D

Yes that's what happened. It looked like they took 2 people off on stretchers and transported in ambulances.

The only thing I got so far was a standard form letter that goes out to everyone after they email her. It just said that she would be answering all emails in the order they are received. The letter also gave all the weeks that are already booked up for CC group cruises. Our week was not on there so that's good. We're the 1st to plan a group cruise for 2014 anyway.

That is good news...at least we are on the list. :)

Heidi...any word from Laura yet? Sometimes it takes a little while to hear from her.
