  1. Oops. It was breakfast and lunch. Similar to the Haven's menus.
  2. We're going on a 7 nighter next month on the Escape. With our 2 free at sea and now 4 platinum dinners we'll only have one night to eat in the haven! Oh, woe is us...buttons are popping!
  3. Yes, plus we had our free at sea 2 specialty restaurants of our choice. This was just a 5 nighter. We're both the same latitudes level of platinum so we EACH received the card with the cutout coupons for dinners and laundry.
  4. If you login at NCL.com and go your account and look at latitudes rewards you'll see that these are the current dining bennys for platinum. My wife and I just had our first platinum cruise on the Prima and were surprised to see we EACH received a card with these coupons, meaning we could have dined out 4 of the 5 nights on this cruise in these specialties: Dinner for Two at Cagney's or Le Bistro with a Bottle of Wine6 (per stateroom) Dinner for Two at Moderno or La Cucina6 (per stateroom)
  5. Just off this morning. Yes, they have entertainment in the atrium. There was a band one night where I got up and sang Play that Funky Music White Boy along with them. They were alot of fun. Also, 32 suites outside of the Haven qualify for private breakfast and lunch in Cagneys. A spiff only found on Prima. Astounded that I found very good pizza on an NCL ship. All the food was great. Service was super. Certain bars carried exclusive beers, rums etc. Whiskey bar specialized in - you guessed it. Stunning art everywhere including a large sculpture stroll on the waterfront. For the first time in my life I actually stopped within a men's room to admire a really cool painting! As a sports fan the Local can make for tight viewing but fortunately there were enough Dolphins fans on the first night of SNF to make it a blast (even though they lost).
  6. We just booked about a month ago and there were no Haven rooms. So we opted for a family suite with large balcony forward, the very front. When we boarded we learned that we had private access to Cagneys for lunch and dinner! There was never more than a dozen folks in there dining when we went. Excellent menus that changed on sea/port days and pampered service. It was great! Our concierge (the asst concierge) had a desk in Cagneys and she booked all of our dining and show reservations and it was timed perfectly. She'd even wait for us at the entrance and escort us to the front from a side entrance at the theater. She told us there were 32 suites that qualified for the Cagneys dining and that the Prima was the only ship doing it. We were also the very first ones on board (ahead of the Haven) because the system crashed when we arrived at the check in counter and they could not print our cards. So they took about a dozen of us to the gangway where they printed our cards on board. We also disembarked this morning at 7:26- a pure breeze. We were home before 10:00 (Citrus County). I'm not knocking the Haven, I checked it out thoroughly at the Capn's party. If fact I was a little early and they hadn't opened the doors yet and I just followed another couple in and was then directed to the "party". Except it was a guest's bd party at the deck area. I had a nice cktl, some snacks and then realized the Capn's party was in the lounge which is by far the best bar area I've seen on any NCL ship and we're platinum and usually sail the Haven- but not always proving that you can indeed go back!
  7. We have 4 different Haven bids in on the Prima leaving tomorrow. We currently have a forward facing family villa with large balcony. We just received an email that our bids are under "consideration" and they make you sweat it out right up to sail away: Upgrades may be awarded at any time up until 0 hours prior to the sailing departure.
  8. Just off Getaway last week. Hop Prima in 2 days. Jump the Escape next month. Then onward to infinity!
  9. Her Bird- Are you roaming the halls late at night for these pics? There is nobody in any of the photos... ...Rod Serling strikes a smoke. "Welcome to the Twilight Zone."
  10. Just off the Getaway boarded first with Haven group. Went straight to our aft suite and dumped carry ons. No problem. Then we went all the way forward to the haven and had lunch and fine tuned all of our dining and entertainment ressies with the concierge.
  11. Yeah, I was gonna post a pic for my local group but I didn't want to be laughed off the courts later today. That net is sad...oh well. The funny thing is I found a review somewhere where the reviewer said it was the best pickleball court he'd ever seen! I've seen much better on Holland even though I'll never sail them again.
  12. Bird is the Word! Hey Bird, we hop on next Sun too. Please leave some booze. One favor: Can you please give some detail shots of the pickleball court. I've seen video quick walk bys but nobody actually stepping up to or inside the court and showing the ceiling height and how much space is on the sidelines. It looks like a cage match Thunderdome! TIA!
  13. I would refill a couple of smart waters with vodka and super glue the cap back together. Never failed.
  14. It was much more of a challenge to go low and enjoy outside the haven before the bev package came along. We used to strategize capn, latitude parties, drinks of the day etc. Now there's a drink waiting for you anywhere you go.
  15. I know this bucks the trend of "once in you can't go back" but we've bounced back and forth and once you know your way around a ship outside the Haven can be almost, I did say almost, as enjoyable.
  16. We just sailed out of Port Canaveral on the Getaway on 11/18. Haven. We live close and arrived around 10:00. Dropped bags and parked right on the ramp leading up into the covered parking. Came back down on foot where there was alot of hustle and bustle. We saw a tent that said HAVEN but there were no crew members around and a few passengers standing around wondering what to do. We just walked right past and went up the exterior elevator to the 2nd level where there were greeters directing traffic to the security pass. Once through security we were pointed to the line for the large bank of check in area. I said, "Haven?" Oh, you go this way and pointed behind her. Straight back to a small holding area where you check in and get your card. Snacks, coffee etc. There was a customs delay and while first on board it was around 11:30.
  17. Was on the Getaway last week in DR. Our itinerary just said, Puerto Plata and when we boarded there was the change letter to Amber Cove. We were the only ship there on 11/26 and many enjoyed the swim up pool bar.
  18. Just did a 10 day on the Getaway out of PC. $200 and we parked right on the up ramp into the covered parking and were the first ones off the ship and through the toll. Save your ticket when you enter and then you have to scan it at the exit before inserting your CC.
  19. Fresh off the Getaway it was no problem getting a Blind Russian at the Prime Meridian bar. In fact, Rachel the Rebel bartender said she'd make it straight up or frozen and it was vodka, kahlua and maloneys. I had to google the BR after I saw in a Jamie Logical thread she liked them, it is on one of the bar menus.
  20. Just off the Getaway on Mon. The Haven french dip I had on day 1 was nothing like the french dip I had on day 9. Not nearly as much great lean meat...
  21. I did both the Getaway slides on Sunday and had not only a few knots on the back of my head when I came out but quite the adrenal rush (64 here). I talked one of my new buddies into doing it with me and his wife held all of our worldly goods. There are weight limits and you must be under 300lbs. When my bud stepped on the ticket came out and said, "one at a time please."
  22. We disembarked the Getaway yesterday. 10 days in the Haven. The only time we went over the $15 was a $1 charge for Buffalo Trace a few times and the only bar that had it was the Atrium. Craft beer seemed limited in some areas. We did get the bartender in H2O to ice down beers for us in the hot sun while we watched the World Cup. You just have to educate them with a few bucks to put a new one in when they take one out. They kept a container right behind the bar for us and kept it full of ice. The staff seemed to change often but they were great! Also, my new found buddy and I did a blind taste test of Bailey's for a buck compared to Maloneys for sub-$15 and the difference was not noticeable - especially if like me you toss a shot in with another shot of Kahlua along with a double espresso in a large coffee cup to inspire dancing the night away after dinner!
  23. We just disembarked yesterday. Made and Anita were behind the bar but I think Made only has 3 weeks left in his contract. Alex at the concierge. Darius running the restaurant. And alot of great staff supporting them all.
  24. This is like watching a Scooby Doo where the mask is lifted off a brand new poster only to reveal--------- ----------------------------------it's Karen the jilted Haven lowball bidder!
