  1. Thank you! Good to know. Hoping to do a Caribbean cruise in 2023.
  2. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2863721-le-petit-chef-menus/#comment-63497070
  3. This is the only one showing on the app for our sailing and doesn’t change over the course of the cruise (I believe the app isn’t very reliable)
  4. On the app for our Edge cruise in September, it shows lunch times for Luminae on all days except day 5.
  5. Sorry - should have been clearer. I meant for bottles brought onboard. Thanks for your reply.
  6. That lemon tart looks delicious 😋
  7. Looks like it. It appears that the menu stays the same. I’ve gone ahead and made a booking. There are some great choices offered. I just thought it might be a bit fancy for my taste. Here’s the menu from today’s Edge sailing
  8. Found it as you were posting. Thank you!
  9. Thank you so much! We’re on Edge on September 3rd (if the gods are good to us 🙄) Finally found the menu. 😊
  10. Thank you for your reply. Do I have to sign out of the app to do this? I can only see our booking, otherwise (unless I’m missing something 🤷‍♀️)
  11. Does Azamara charge a corkage fee if you have a drinks package? (I believe Celebrity doesn’t).
  12. I could live with that sample menu as the filet mignon would do me (picky eater, unfortunately 🙄) and would love for DH to experience Eden. Will have to wait til onboard to see exactly what’s on offer.
  13. Saw that on the website. It’s only a sample menu, though.
  14. I can see the menus for other venues in my booking on the app, but there’s no link to a menu for Eden.
  15. MSC has since replaced that drinks package (PremiumPlus) with PremiumExtra (which is included for YC guests) but only covers drinks up to $15.
  16. YC is now way overpriced for what it offers. Food offerings are very disappointing and the whole experience has been downgraded. Since the introduction of YC interior cabins on the newer fleet, YC balcony cabins have more than doubled in price.
  17. Hopefully June next year will be kind to you. It’s been a washout of a month here in Ireland this year, with unseasonably windy and wet weather.
  18. Dress code, gratuities/tips …. this should be real fun. Making popcorn right now. 🤣
  19. Oh, I do hope you get the transplant real soon and that all goes well so you can get back to cruising. Looking forward to trying Azamara, but I think we’re going to miss the nightly entertainment offerings of the bigger ships. We’re meeting up with a couple of Norwegians that I got to know on the MSC forum. We met them on Meraviglia’s inaugural, then sailed with them on Seaview (you may remember that was the trip that DH ended up spending most of the time in the medical centre! Turned out to be a blessing in disguise as he discovered afterwards, by having to attend his doctor, that he had a 95% blocked artery plus prostate cancer). Who knows, maybe we’ll get to meet you some time on the high seas. Take care, for now. PS Will have to give that French75 a try - especially if NF is swapped out for an even more inferior champagne. 😆
  20. That was the wording on my email when they were informing me my bid had been cancelled. I then did receive another email inviting me to bid (after being informed of the itinerary change).
  21. Had that happen to me with another company. Turned out the itinerary had changed. I subsequently managed to bid again as soon as their system was up to date on the change. Maybe there’s something changing within MSC’s system which is causing up-bids to be cancelled.
  22. I was thinking along those lines, having read about the reduced range of wines onboard. DH doesn’t drink wine so will be happy if draught Carlsberg is included on our cruise. Just going to have to assess whether it’ll be worth it for me to purchase the Ultimate package. If there aren’t decent wines from the list available, it may not be worth it. Having said that, I think it’s great that Az allows for only one person to upgrade and that it can be done at any time throughout the cruise. Thanks for the heads-up!
  23. Hi CGT - haven’t been around the boards much lately. We’ve about had enough with MSC! Great to hear from you. Nicholas Feuillatte is available on the Ultimate package, according to the Azamara website: Not that fond of it - it’s served in YC - but better than nothing, I suppose. I need the Ultimate for my other favourite - port & brandy🤪 The old PremiumPlus package was great as it included Veuve Cliquot. Our favourite hangout was the Champagne bar with that package! Sadly, it is no more (sigh). DH will certainly miss Johnny Walker Blue, too. 😭 So, you’re booked on Azamara? We’re on Journey on Aug 6th, then Celebrity Edge on Sept 3rd. We have World Europa booked from Abu Dhabi to Genoa next March - booked Aurea before the Experience was downgraded, so looks like better value now. 🙄
  24. Thank you! 🤗 DH will be very happy to hear that and now only one of us will have to upgrade to the Ultimate package. 👍
  25. Excellent post, A. Totally agree with all you’ve said! After 23 cruises with MSC we’ve now tried NCL and our 2 upcoming are with Azamara (in 6 weeks) and a Sky Suite on Celebrity Edge 2 weeks after disembarking Journey. MSC has lost the plot! We have a 16 night repo booked on the World Europa next March and are not fully committed to it. We originally booked Aurea (wouldn’t let us book YC at the time 🙄) but our cabin has now been re-categorised as Fantastica, so am expecting to be turfed out and given a less favourable location. I doubt they’ll even let us know this til after final payment (which is due around the time of the ship’s inaugural, so won’t even be able to get info on the MSC forum about anyone else’s experience re this in order to decide if it’s worth it to just roll the dice).
