  1. Mosquitos are usually out in very early morning or around dusk. Less prevalent during hotter hours of the day. Nevertheless, a quick spray of OFF or any DEET product will keep them away. Some non-DEET products work for some people, though not as well. So just bring a spray or lotion of what you normally use that's worked for you in the past.

x2, just a little off and I have never had any issues with bugs. :)

  2. We went to Emerald beach two weeks ago. There is a Best Western hotel there that rents beach chairs. There is also a beach bar with food and bathrooms. The Cab ride did take awhile. You don't notice the airlines.

We rented chairs from the Best Western also. The cab ride was lengthy, but we really enjoyed the beach.

  3. Weather permitting, one of your stops will be at NCL's private island..Great Stirrup Cay. This is a private island with beach, swimming, and snorkeling. Should make for a nice "beach day".

We had a blast there last time we went there. :)

  4. The Paris Normandy Seine cruise sails past no castles and the only real palace you will have the option to visit is the Palace of Versailles near Paris. If you want to see castles then perhaps another itinerary would be better

    My suggestion also. :)

  5. Unfortunately for us, the direct flights were too close for our comfort. The flights with stop over were reaching at ungodly hours and adding on 5 hrs to the travel time. So we traded the extra time with the price of hotel plus some sight seeing. We have never been to Miami before so maybe subconsciously we were in favor of staying a night :)

We are in the same situation with flights....we always find it better spending the night.

  6. Remember that in April Windstar takes possession of its first Seabourn ship. It has bought all three of the smaller older ships. This will give you the option of a sailing vessel or motor vessel.

    Good point! :)
