  1. Recently stayed at Hyatt house Blue Lagoon and left car for 14nts for $74 including shuttle to the port but had taxi back to hotel. Will definetly use again next time as was in good area and shopping center nearby to walk to for restaurant and Publix grocery store

  2. Each time we've dined in Qsine they brought out one item at a time, but on next visit am hoping to get like two at a time, like shrimp or crab with salad for example. Has anyone done this before? Just the two of us, not going with a group. To me, it seemed weird to just eat one item unless of course its M's Fav or Taj Mahal, etc. I know they're all about the big presentation but does end up being a really long ordeal to eat dinner

  3. Seems to me you should be able to book all evening reservations as well since you're paying for them upfront, but it's just not the way they or other cruise lines do it. Makes for lots of first boarding anxiety to get the dates and times etc that you're hoping for. I personally like to get every thing prearranged so vacation starts ASAP! Guess the only way to get around it is to book individual restaurants and pay full price.

  4. All cruise lines qladly book large groups and then provide or charge for use of certain lounges for them. Why wouldn't they? Has nothing to do with Celebrity in particular, it happens on most every cruise line or sailing I've ever been on. Sky lounge is a great space I'll agree, but it's probably open at some point throughout the day. If you only want to sit in just that one lounge I suppose that could pose a problem for you, but there are other great places onboard as well

  5. Was once docked in St Maarten with four Celebrity ships, all berthed next to each other at the dock. It was great to see so many crew and officers so happy to see one another, like one big giant family reunion. Lots of smiles and hugs going around and sailaway was a big deal as we each took off

  6. Many years back I had my own cruise only travel agency and booked large groups. Living in Florida many of my clients were senior citizens who always told me to vacation while you can still enjoy in your younger years. Well I've been hooked on the idea since the first travel agent convinced me to take my first cruise and never looked back. Couldn't care what cabin choice but do prefer balcony, just as long as I get on the ship! Spend all our extra dollars on cruises and have no plans on ever stopping,

  7. Thanks so much for the cabin 6210 pictures, have it booked for next sailing, for the hump location. Have also sailed 6242 rear facing on the hump and it too wasn't too bad as over a small tender boat without much obstruction. For the difference in price from 1A we're fine with these cabins with great main elevator access and deck six is pretty handy location

  8. I wouldn't worry too much about not being able to prebook dining packages since you pay in advance anyhow and only pick the 1st or 2nd night. You still will make your other reservations once onboard like everyone else. If your are elite status with Celebrity you can prebook one night specialty resturant thru Captains Club number and they will get back to you with your chosen date, time, etc. Have done this on my past three sailings without paying till onboard. In essence I get two nights reserved in advance with prebooking a package as well, which still isn't that big a deal. But then I know I have that Murano res for formal night later in the cruise, so that's fine with me

  9. What's that saying, a nano second before you need it! Well I waited over two hours monday between different res agents, and this was after celebrity sending me an email wishing me a happy birthday. It was sent from the vacation planner I've never used , or so it said. Finally got my cabin change so ended up being a nice present but boy did they make me work for it

  10. On the Reflection in Nov, we were told NO pkgs were available, even 5nt or 4nt and this was before noon. A big group was on this sailing and did book lots of spec dining. We were on a back to back and basically pleaded since our plan was for both weeks Ultimate pkg so they said ok. Most nights the restaurants were really packed with large groups taking up multiple tables, so it really depends on the sailing. Why would they let you have the pkg when they can get full reservations on certain sailings or a particular restaurant sells well, holiday sailings, etc. We really enjoyed the experience and had a great time with staff

  11. Lunch may be offered at one or more of the special rests, probably Lawn Club Grill and perhaps Muranos for $25p/p on a sea day. There's also usually a brunch in the main dining room towards the end of the cruise that is worth checking out with ice sculptures etc and tons of food. Ask your waiter about it for what day it's being offered. They offer a galley tour that's interesting if you've not done that before. The last formal nite the show Reflection was really good and also the comedy called Sin City is worth going to one night. Reflection still had an acapella group when we were onboard in Dec which they've since elimanated from the other ships from what others have been saying, if that has interest to you. Definetely try Cafe al Bacio for great coffee drinks and free pastries

  12. Ultimate pkg is $29p/p per day for each day of the cruise which includes unlimited visits to Bistro on 5 and the Porch if sailing Reflection or Silhouette. If you want the pkg for the 7 days it'd really add to the cost you've paid for AQ, but on my sailing there were some pax that did just that. Otherwise just pay $5 p/p to eat in Bistro

  13. It's an area without windows with a couple of steam rooms of various sizes and a tiled bench with seating for about 8? around a fountain of sorts located up in the spa area. Nothing to get too excited about for sure. We probably spent 30 mins top, sort of musty smelling and not all that comfortable in our opinion. Love the s class PG though since it's much nicer with a view and comfy loungers

  14. Inside to Aqua class, now that's worth packing up a bit! We've been taken off the ship as a group after the ships been cleared of previous passengers thru customs and then back onboard. It's a great feeling to know at the end of the first sailing YOU get to stay onboard! On our last sailing they made an announcent to the crew reminding them they had XX time prior to new pax arriving and to put on that great smile/attitude vibe we so love them for. It was interesting also they sprayed something thruout guest relations area. We were in the area at the time and hopped into elevator, who knows what that stuff was? I know I didn't want to inhale it. Enjoy your turnaround day

  15. My cruise experiences span over 50+ sailings over the past 23 yrs on all the mass market lines from 3nt to 45 day sailings. Celebrity is our favorite and I'm assuming the same could be said for others commenting here as well. I'd suggest you give them another shot on one of their solsice class ships for a different experience than the M class. Try either specialty resturants or as you mention Aqua class, you'll most likely enjoy the dining better. Never had bad experience with guest relation staff but have to say room service is hit or miss.

  16. I waited for 5mins on hold before also being hung up on. Waited till around noon today and then got thru in less than 5mins to upgrade bev pkg and specialty dining thru cruise enhancements dept. Also got thru to Capts Club bit later on without much of a wait. Their music and yadaya on hold gets old kinda quickly when you've got better things to do. Patience, it's all good in the end
