  1. I like Carnival because of the itineraries. I'd love to sail Allure of the Seas again, but we don't like western and I'm not sailing the eastern itinerary again because I borderline refuse to waste my time in Nassau. That's what we love about Carnival- the itineraries are different and if you want to sail a specific ship, chances are there's an itinerary you'll like. We've sailed Breeze twice, totally different itineraries.

We prefer RC ships, but Carnival crew/atmosphere. Price is comparable, I think you just have to do your research. I don't personally think they're way cheaper all the time.

  2. I'm on the Sunshine sailing. I agree about Bonaire, I wish it was going there instead of Curaçao. We actually were originally booked on the Conquest, but the Sunshine was only $55 more for the same room. No brainier.

I would pick the Breeze, we did that same itinerary on her in September. The only thing we didn't like was 4 ports in 4 days. It was a lot and we would have liked to have had a break in between. Otherwise it was amazing. We love the Breeze.

  3. You could always speak to your head waiter and explain your situation and have them plate less food for you. Or contact special needs. If you take it to your room you have to waste time doing there straight from dinner and there's also no way to heat up leftovers. Cheese plate you'd be ok.

  4. Love the decor on Breeze! My first Carnival cruise was also on a Fantasy class ship and I totally understand how you feel. My boyfriend swore he'd never sail Carnival again because he hated the ship and I convinced him to try Breeze. He did a total turnaround. We've sailed her twice and are booked on Sunshine in April.

There's Guy's Burgers, Blue Iguana, Cucina de Capitano, and Fat Jimmy's C-Side BBQ. Those are my favorite places to eat. (Cucina is open embarkation day and lunch is free! We skip the buffet and eat there. It's always empty!)

I've never done mini golf, but we like the ropes course. We also like the dive in movies.

Bonsai sushi is good. It's a charge though.

We really like the Breeze overall. We would sail her again.

  5. Been on both and the Sunshine was my favorite of the two. We were on deck 5, one of the new aft rooms they added there, so I can't comment about noise on deck 1. 8 days sounds great though!!!

Edited to add: make sure you try JiJi!!!

    What's JiJi?!?!

  6. Honestly the only things that are holding me back are deck 1 and the crowded ship. I'm glad to hear deck 1 isn't so bad. I don't care about vibration but I'm imagining it sounding like the engine is inside our room. I think we will book the 8 day. Plus, it's a southern itinerary which I'm super excited about!

  7. I currently have a 6 day on Conquest booked but for $51 more we could go on an 8 day southern on the Sunshine. I've heard so many negatives on the Sunshine and wondered what everyone's opinions are.

I know Conquest doesn't have Serenity and that's ok. The Sunshine serenity area looks amazing.

We've been on Paradise once and Breeze twice.

Don't care about steakhouse but looking forward to Alchemy!

We are doing our first ocean view room. We've always had a balcony. On the Conquest we are on deck 2 but all that's left on Sunshine is deck 1. We are concerned about noise. We prefer aft.

    Thanks!

  8. Were on the Conquest in March.....been on other ships that had the Alchemy Bar and you'll Love it.....Some really really great drinks....also they have a really cool Class for $15 where they show and teach you all about drinks and martinis....plus you get to drink each one....The one we attended only had 6 people show up and we each prob had 5 1/2 glasses of different types of drinks plus a full one of our choice at the end and you get a Alchemy Certificate [emoji12][emoji484][emoji484]

That sounds right up my alley!
